Nice, I'll be pleasantly steamed by the time the Mason v Noakes fight starts

I've just bought it as I didn't check times, I will definitely be asleep. The cats will watch it though.

You have to be over 18 to box pro here in the UL don’t you?

Always been amazed seeing how young some of the Mexicans are when they have their first pro fights.

The Kid is doing decent here against a guy who seems to be just looking to survive.

I mean, he's 16...

It's like Hanson or Kriss Kross - you kinda have to like it 'cos you're so impressed. :salut:
Surely bloody stupid for a long-term career tho..? What's he gonna do - make his title run @ 20..?! :maybe:

Not watching but hoping Yarde can do it, third time lucky.

Surprised he's such a big underdog, Benavidez is very inactive, that could go against him.

It must be the American commentary but I’m finding myself looking back fondly at ESPN’s Friday Night Fights. It was always a nice little start to a boxing weekend.

Atlas has his critics but he was great on the technical side. I miss those shows.

I prefer the Brit commentary too for the big shows, particularly when Brit fighters are involved.

To be fair maybe it’s just a rose-tinted, pre-internet memory thing. Back when Kevin Lueshing travelled over to Nashville to face the daunting prospect of a fight with Felix Trinidad in 1997, how much would the Showtime crew have really known about Kevin? It’s a lot different these days.

British commentary is good. And they respect American fighters.

US commentators don’t respect Brits.

Give me any Brit commentators minus Smith.

I like Alakel.

I know he’s favoured on these shows and they’re clearly trying to build up a Saudi boxer

I know Gallagher trained him at the beginning.

Now he’s got Abel Sanchez..

Let’s see what he can do for him.

They're super boring, aren't they? Adam Smith is like nails on a blackboard but he's preferable to these dullards

I like Mora and the rest of DAZN crew. I don't need someone shouting at me constantly about what an incredible event this is.
I like Barry Jones, but not when he's on with Smith because the latter won't shut up long enough to hear the former anyway.

One more fight after the current one, then it’s Maidstone’s finest.

Samuel Nmomah I’m not sure about, doesn’t look to have mixed in great company. Could be a 10 round snooze fest.

All this arse kissing of Turki, who by plenty of accounts is pretty evil, still bothers me.
