The Broadcasters in general suck these days. When the bell rings a fight is always a fight, but the Presentation of the broadcast in general isn't as cool as the glory days of HBO.

118-110 Haney, I thought he was getting knocked out so proved me wrong easily, shocker him dropping Norman in the 2nd , rocked him with a left just before the KD, missed with the left then the right straight through the guard, put Norman down heavy, Haney went for the KO was looking a million dollars, cutting loose, his jab was immense, stepping right in with it, Norman looked shellshocked, couldn't get his punches off, was getting picked off at will

Second half was poor though, your meant to go through the gears but Haney takes his foot off, Norman nicked a couple rounds maybe, it got a bit messy, Norman couldn't test the chin, Haney was never in any trouble at all in the fight, it was pretty comfortable

Seriously you’ve got a guy at ringside who just got a revenge win over a middleweight and has told the world they are heading back to welter, and Devin says “I’ll fight who my dad says I should fight”.

In that regard, pretty pathetic.

Does Eddie actually have the audacity to criticize Haney's performance there as boring in comparison to Benn's last week?

Yarde's really good until he tires and starts lifting his right foot when circling, letting opponents know when he's not set for his big counters.

We're talking about him trying to finish it early, but I wonder if he could box at pace for 12 if he sacrificed power?

Benn'd just get outboxed and believe he won because he forced the issue.

In the discussion thread for this bill I said.......

Mason 19(17)-0 v Noakes 17(15)-0. I want Noakes but think speed wins this for Mason

Rodriguez 22(15)-0 v Martinez 18(9)-0. Martinez starts well but Rodriguez breaks him down, late stoppage.

Norman 28(22)-0 v Haney 32(15)-0. Haney boxes on the outside to boos from the crowd & a UD.

Benavidez 30(24)-0 Yarde 27(24)-3(2). Yarde has his moments but runs out of steam around 9.

Not too bad for a change although I was a bit harsh on Haney it appears.

How can anyone take Benn seriously?

‘I’m about knockouts and entertainment’.

He stunk the joint out in his last fight.

He hasn’t knocked anyone out for over 3 1/2 years & tested positive after that.

I notice they didn’t call Crocker out. The easiest fight of the lot to make. Sells out a stadium outdoors in Northern Ireland. We know why & it’s because Crocker sparks him.

Yeah I mean he did win - in a fight that was about as memorable as the last fart I had. At least try to stoke up some interest when you’re in front of a microphone.

Haha I’m not that confident because I highly rate the monster, but there’s a lot to like about Anthony Yarde
I fully expect to lose too, but you get a lot of talent for prices that big.. :box:

You'd think Kate Scott might have corrected her husband on the (very easy to learn) pronunciation of the name of one of the two fighters in the main event fight of a multi-million dollar show, during their fake conversation where she asked him questions that she already knew the answers to, wouldn't you?

It's like nobody really gives a sh*t.

On the positive side, Benavidez is nowhere near as technical as Bert, and has only recently come up to 175.

Is this the last boxing shock of the year about to happen right here.

Bit harsh that. He moves up a weight and goes in with an unbeaten KO artist, scores a heavy knockdown early on then boxes his head off. Tbf to Haney he's got a very successful formula that's earned him megabucks and he seems to be a personal favourite of Turki - don't think he needs to sell himself.

A class act inside and outside the ring.
