Looks flabby and slow already. Doubt it matters in the long run

Feinting that slow silly body jab waiting for a bomb over the top. Probably for his own overhand right?

David really wants an overhand right to counter, but he really really wants Yarde off balance against the ropes first.

Did his talking in the ring didn't he ?

He's so far above Benn why would he even mention him
Yeah I mean he did win - in a fight that was about as memorable as the last fart I had. At least try to stoke up some interest when you’re in front of a microphone.
Bit harsh that. He moves up a weight and goes in with an unbeaten KO artist, scores a heavy knockdown early on then boxes his head off. Tbf to Haney he's got a very successful formula that's earned him megabucks and he seems to be a personal favourite of Turki - don't think he needs to sell himself.

A class act inside and outside the ring.
Fair enough :TU:

I actualy am prefering yard overall. but i think optics wise he might not be nicking these rounds which is a bit of a problem.

Got closer there in the 2nd down the stretch.

1 round each feels about right for those first 2 rounds. Feels like the fight hasn't really got going yet.

Even though Yarde has this lumbering presence heading straight towards him, he doesn’t seem to be under the same level of pressure that Bert put on him.

2 rounds to 1 for Benavidez.

I guess Yarde is trying to save his stamina for the 2nd half of the fight. I sure hope so. If he fights the whole fight this way, it doesn't appear to be a strategy that's gonna get much done for him.

Trouble is, Yarde so far doesn’t look like he can dent this guy. And we know Benavidez can do this all night.

Yarde is getting a little bit overwhelmed.

Benavidez is fast.

Yarde is beginning to look like a punching bag in there. He better get to throwing if he's gonna.

He’s figured the timing out, and by the time Yarde puts his foot on the gas it will be too late

That was a referee appropriately applying the rules, and letting them fight out of a clinch. Yarde preferred to get hit in a clinch, and look for help.

Yarde is holding a lot back - no power shots.

Obviously saving himself....

Benavidez looks bullet proof in this fight. The writing is pretty much on the wall isn’t it.

Really figured out the timing when he changes direction with the right. When it goes late he’ll start a combo off that
