good card, bit disapointed in the 3 losers those last 3 fights. but still, if your significantly worse than someone its hard to make up for that... i just thought they would do better.
benivedez vs a russian is a must. dont mind which one, both are interesting stylistic matchups.

Yarde got pasted there, all one way traffic. He was brave but out of his depth.

Wrong tactics from yarde I thought, maybe he was never gonna win it, but he could’ve given himself a better chance, he was throwing arm punches first 4 rounds, too concerned about pacing himself

Muscular physiques are more suitable for MMA or Wrestling than they are for Boxing. Lean muscle is what you want for Boxing. Allows you move better, punch snappier, and just generally be quicker.Controversial wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025, 23:04 Once again proof that muscles don’t win fights, Benavidez flabby and no muscle but relentless.
Speed is crucial in Boxing. The faster punch is often better than the harder punch.

If he had slugged it out I think he would've been stopped sooner, but it would've been more fun.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025, 23:04 Wrong tactics from yarde I thought, maybe he was never gonna win it, but he could’ve given himself a better chance, he was throwing arm punches first 4 rounds, too concerned about pacing himself

I’d rather fight a skinny pudendum outside the pub and a fat pudendum in the ringgilgamesh wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025, 23:05Muscular physiques are more suitable for MMA or Wrestling than they are for Boxing. Sad to see but Anthony just got bludgeoned over the last 3 rounds.
Benavidez just too fast, too good and did not look like he gave fck.

Really good stoppage for me. Yarde was given a chance to turn it around and would've been dropped heavily soon after.

That was a pay-day type of fight.
You could tell from Yarde's body language he knew what was waiting for him.
His corner knew it too. Had no real answers.

Ref got that just about right tbf, Yarde was getting the brakes beat off him, he looked sharp early Yarde, relaxed and confident but he didn't implement a game plan after the feeling out rounds and Benavidez upped the pace every round, applied more pressure and kept trapping Yarde on the ropes and unloading away, quick hands as ever, just kept pouring out the punches, Yarde tried to duke it out but his nose or whatever it was was causing him serious problems, 7th round Benavidez finally knocks him down, clubbed him with rights in the corner, got 2 points off for hitting Yarde when he was down, looked a bit harsh tbh, Yarde didn't look all te way down but no matter Benavidez kept up the pressure, a left hook rocked Yarde and it was stopped

That extra bit of recovery Yarde had for the illegal shot made the stoppage an easier call, I think. He tried to fight back initially, but was in survival mode to hear the bell and regroup when it ended.handsofstone wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025, 23:10got 2 points off for hitting Yarde when he was down, looked a bit harsh tbh, Yarde didn't look all te way down
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Anthony Yarde - 22 November 2025
That was all kinda weird. It seemed like Yarde dropped to the floor and that could've been the time for Tunde to pull him out, but he didn't... But then Benavidez hit him when he was down and Yarde protested. Did Yarde actually get a count for the KD there, or did the ref just go straight to taking the point?handsofstone wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025, 23:10 Ref got that just about right tbf, Yarde was getting the brakes beat off him, he looked sharp early Yarde, relaxed and confident but he didn't implement a game plan after the feeling out rounds and Benavidez upped the pace every round, applied more pressure and kept trapping Yarde on the ropes and unloading away, quick hands as ever, just kept pouring out the punches, Yarde tried to duke it out but his nose or whatever it was was causing him serious problems, 7th round Benavidez finally knocks him down, clubbed him with rights in the corner, got 2 points off for hitting Yarde when he was down, looked a bit harsh tbh, Yarde didn't look all te way down but no matter Benavidez kept up the pressure, a left hook rocked Yarde and it was stopped

Watching these replays, some of Ben's angles were reminiscent of Calzaghe. Defying the textbook to great effect.

Your man just said Zurdo stops Jai. That quite simply will not happen.

Who needs a wife. Divorce her. Me and you can go. If we happen to hit it off, it won’t count because it’s international. As in, it’s not gay because we are in different countries.

Yarde should consider retirement if he doesn't want to change trainers.

Reminds me of the time Froch on comms repeatedly referred to Errol Spence as SpencerCyclops wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025, 23:16That was all kinda weird.
