Turki gets inebriated at a royal function and pisses off the saudi royal family and gets put in jail, and we never see another oily cent spent on boxing.

Wardley will finish the year still a Heavyweight titleholder.
Canelo will win the now vacant WBC Super Middleweight title
Claressa Shields will make however many title defenses she feels like
Ronda Rousey will be beaten quickly and paid handsomely in what is likely her one and only Boxing match

Jai will KO three more overmatched mandatories. Lara will beat up two or three more club fighters/mandatories, none ranked in the top 50. Jake Paul will KO the propped up corpse of a former fighter and declare himself the heavyweight champion. Benn vs Eubanks will happen again despite no interest from anyone outside the UK. Crawford will fight once.
Re: 2026 …. what will happen?
I keep thinking every year that surely DAZN will pull the plug soon. I can’t ever remember a broadcasting network running up the kind of losses they are.

I wonder what that plan actually is.Frostieballs wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025, 20:22They have a plan to profitability. Huge losses were expected.
Because they haven't really expanded the subscribers, they have just fleeced the existing subscribers harder.

I honestly don’t know a single person that subscribes to it.Frostieballs wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025, 20:22They have a plan to profitability. Huge losses were expected.
My casual mates eyes glaze over if I mention that a fight is on DAZN & the only proper boxing fans I know watch on dodgy boxes.
I just can’t see how it can ever work unless they got premier league football.

Lara having two or three fights in ... in ONE year? Oh, perish the thought.giacomino wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025, 18:52 Jai will KO three more overmatched mandatories. https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/KB/2025/2386.html contains the High Court judgment granting Boxxer an injunction against Wischhusen (who they say is still their Head of Boxing) preventing him from contacting Sky or doing any work in boxing except for their benefit.
The allegation appears to be that he planned to set up a rival promotion company to get shows on Sky Sports with Shalom cut out of the deal.
May get very messy indeed if, for example, Shalom were to bring proceedings against Sky in tort for inducing Wischhusen to breach his contract with Boxxer

Whitaker won't fight anyone liable to beat him, neither will Itauma
Re: 2026 …. what will happen?
Some websites indicated that the expedited full hearing of the case was happening in November - did it?

Surely boxing is finished then on Sky? I mean all the big promoters are with other TV stations…. Legal issues will likely prevent them from working with any promoter anyway or anyone risking working with Sky…. Sky may have to make a payment to Shalom…. This guy Johnny Wishchusen seems a loose cannon.
Also what’s the real story behind Adam Smith getting thrown under the bus? He wasnt sacked because he had cancer was he? That’s a huge legal case in itself. Heads are gonna roll and Sky is finished in boxing thankfully

Would you be severely embarrassed were that not to be the case and your predictions were revealed to be nothing other than made up guff.
Or would it in fact be just a tiny bump in the road and a chance to relaunch yourself as forum king Spud 3.0

It is mad, because in my time in boxing, John W was one of the most straight up people I came across.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025, 12:35I’ve only skim read but…dookus wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025, 10:34https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/KB/2025/2386.html contains the High Court judgment granting Boxxer an injunction against Wischhusen (who they say is still their Head of Boxing) preventing him from contacting Sky or doing any work in boxing except for their benefit.

Is it mentioned if he was working with, or acting on behalf of, anybody else in the sport?
Re: 2026 …. what will happen?
I am a fan of John Wish, never heard anyone speak badly about him, which is an amazing thing in boxing!
