I'm sure he was only kidding about having wrasslin' in here. Afterall, only 10-year old kids and trailer-park folk actually believe that garbage is real.

As professional wrestling is just choreographed entertainment, the answer has to be NO.

Yes, rupert, we all know they are great athletes and what they do requires a lot of skill and training but it has more in common with synchronised swimming than boxing.

Now, if it was real (ie the results weren't pre-ordained and practiced before hand) it would be different. Of course, it wouldn't last on tv for long and the fat middle-aged twats in the audience would have to find something else to masturbate to.

Only a really dumb 10-year-old would think wrestling's real. Anyway, why do people even point out that it isn't real? It doesn't strive to be real, or even realistic. Saying, "you know, pro wrestling isn't real," isn't much different than walking in on someone watching CSI Miami and saying, "you know, those guys aren't really scientists. They're just actors! You've been fooled!"

I have seen a few wrasslin forums on the internet and the majority of posters on them seem to think at least some of the bouts are real. It's a good laugh reading it. I guess it's possible they are all 10 year halfwits. Actually, I hope they ARE all kids...

It would appear we've accidentally uncovered a 10-yr old wrasslin' fan here who is sceptical about the reality of wrasslin' matches. :)

I take it back, Decagon. I just googled a few and you are right. They are mainly talking about the skills involved in what they know to be choreographed 'bouts'. Maybe the moderating has got better since I last looked or maybe I just dreamt it all up. Probably the latter.

As we are talking about wrasslin, here's a few of my favourite WWE moments:

1. That time The Undertaker was dragging Hulk Hogan around backstage tied to a rope on the back of his motorbike.

2. When Bishoff called Jimmy Snuka down to the ring for some kind of 'long service to wrestling award' and Jemal and Rosie came out and 'attacked' the poor old fella.

3. The bloke with one leg

4. That time Austin was in charge of one faction and he started handing out punishments to the team. I think the first one to get it was Tazz. The others held him down and Stone Cold took off his belt and gave him a leathering!

5. Austin beating up JR

As you can see these are from a few years back. The kids don't watch it now so I don't have an excuse to watch it much. However, I did catch a bit the other day that proved to me it is still funny as feck. I came in part way through the scene but The Big Show was half out the ring, with his leotard almost off and someone had shoved Vince McMahon's head up his arse!

I always wondered what that one move was all about where both men would bounce off of the ropes and run towoard each other and the one guy would dive on the floor and the other guy would jump over him?

He was only going about 5 miles per hour. I'm surprised that Hogan didn't just stand up and walk briskly behind him.

Yes, but any faster and it might have to be deemed 'real'.

Still, it was funny, especially when he hit that pile of empty boxes.

I remember in my first week at University in the early 90's I had an 'heated debate' with another student on my course who was convinced the WWF/WWE etc was 100% legit.

I wouldn't mind if there was wrestling in this forum i probably wouldn't post in the wrestling part but i wouldn't mind.

Wrestling isn't like boxing ofcourse but just like Decagon said it's not trying to except very few storylines, there is probably no man in the world who could do what the wrestlers do in a real street fight but it isn't reality it's entertainment but to be fair Butterbean acctually fought a wrestler for real ones.
