Absolutely. At least he triggers enthusiasm into this environment, for all his failings. Unlike pr1cks like John. Say it ain’t so.

Welcome to 2003 everyone - difference is I really can't be arsed with it anymore.

On the thread title - really cannot be bothered with the poll options. Just hope there are good fights made, Stevenson vs Lopez is a great start, hope we see Usyk continue for a year and some big fights made. Hope we see less pointless rematches and rematch clauses and less "jump 250 weight categories, super fights".

I suspect both Tyson Fury will do a boxing comeback, retirement and comeback at some point in 2026 and Spud will do a boxrec comeback, retirement and comeback also in 2026.

Hope we see Benedivez vs Bivol - but doesn't look likely.

You’re excessively patronising with zero backbone. Other than that, please continue with the self-righteousness so others can draw the same conclusions. Takes a lot for me to come out of retirement these days, so much kudos.
What are you on about "zero backbone"? Do you want me to fight this guy to the death on a car park or something?

What are you so offended about? Are you and this other guy good friends or something?

Baffling experience this 😅
You’ve gone out of your way to belittle a poster and mock his mental health, even after putting him on ignore. Pure scum.
Ah come on Lightsoot. That’s a bit strong.

There’s been loads thrown around on both sides here.

Can’t we all be friends!!!

Spud put in graft and proved himself on the circuit but those were the days before health issues. What promotor is going to trust him to run a show now? He would need to be shown to be able to manage to get around and have some helpers. I'm not an expert myself and perhaps he is alright but it could come down to insurance issues for the companies involved. The contracts will need to be iron clad. The only possible option I could see would be to run his own promotional company as that would put him in the best position. Maybe that's why we see the Sky talk and cryptic posts once again.

2026 predictions:

- BBC don't renew boxxer

- BBC head of sport who signed Boxxer will depart bbc. Debatable whether the signing of boxxer deal will be a nail in the coffin.

- sky hosts numerous boxing promotions both domestic and international

- JW /boxxer case settles out of court or boxxer loses in court.

- post-bbc boxxer tries to sue sky as a last-gasp attempt at grabbing some sort of token out of court settlement loot before going bankrupt or folding up shop

- Price departs Q1, Azim and Simpson depart Q2

- Hearn goes to war with TKO Boxing but then sells Matchroom Boxing to them and rides off into sunset

- DAZN cuts back boxing spend

- Turki begins losing interest late 2026

- AJ loses to Fury and retires. Fury then retires again

- Usyk, Wilder, Zhang, Joyce retire

- top echelon of heavyweight boxing becomes Fabio Wardley, Daniel Dubois and then also Hughie Fury emerges from nowhere and becomes basically a top contender by default

- we are once again sold Eubank Benn, this time as a "must win" trilogy match
