Am indifferent to Paul but I suspect AJ is a shot fighter now, it’s hard not to after watching the Dubois fight and considering the inactivity since then. The problem is if his legs are even slightly gone that he doesn’t have the defensive game to compensate, ie zero head movement, etc. so he becomes this big, vulnerable target. Against someone equally large and lumbering it’s ok as his right hand will see him through, but is it not true that Paul is somewhat of a smaller, faster target, and potentially then harder to hit? I dunno, I think people are giving their predictions for a prime AJ vs a novice Paul and I don’t think either of those things are true, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is competitive.

Bold take I mean, I think the whole boxing world will be DUMBFOUNDED if this was competitive, and on the level… I mean what a surreal sight that would be…Jake Paul looks tiny. Shakur Stevenson did say that jake is much better than people think, he’s got the right trainers, the right sparring, the right everything …obviously a novice, but stranger things have happened, I guess …


Even though he’s actually huge and a fighter, technically, Francis left us all dumbfounded by being competitive with Tyson Fury

Matt Christie questions AJ in this. He says if you strip all the Netflix and stuff away, it's just AJ coming back at a very low level. He's coming off his worst ever performance and is obviously mentally not the strongest. The fact the original plan was Cassius Chaney says a lot.

There won't be an agreement, AJ has nothing to gain from doing that, he's not desperate for cash or fame like so many of JPs previous opponents. I reckon JP will just try and keep out of the firing line and move as much as he can.

Remember AJ had elbow surgery in May 2025 which was 8 months after the Dubois loss so that explains some of his inactivity.

He has no defensive skills. He really won't be able to outrun Joshua because Joshua probably will move around the ring better than him. He'll cut the ring off better than him, and he'd be able to open up his guard even if he had his hands up probably with just feints. If not, then surely with a jab.

It's a big ring. I don't expect Paul to be within two metres of Joshua if he can help it. He'll be sprinting away if he ever feels in danger. The ref will be the most important man in the ring in my opinion. Not to say that Joshua can't or won't KO him early (I think he'll get it within two) but Ngannou came forward to try and box so it's not directly comparable. Paul is going to try his very best for there to be zero punches landed by either man for the first few rounds.
