I could beat AJ. Someone set it up
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul | NETFLIX - 19 December 2025
JP did land a peach of a right hand in the previous round, must have been a tad dispiriting that AJ barely blinked. If JP didn’t already feel he couldn’t go the distance, he definitely realised it in that moment.

And it still did not shut him up. The world is not fair

To be fair to JP I think he earned the right to still be talking afterwards, as daft as he is.

AJ's such a gentleman with the fans, he deserves so much credit for that

He’s certainly got guts.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul | NETFLIX - 19 December 2025
Is it possible AJ made himself look slower and more vulnerable on purpose to make it that much more enticing for Tyson Fury to want to fight him?
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul | NETFLIX - 19 December 2025
I’m feeling pretty positive, all things considered. Joshua patiently did what he typically does, softened the guy up, finished with a strong shot, and didn’t get cut in the process.
JP turned up, did his best as a smaller guy with suspect stamina, and didn’t get himself knocked unconscious.
So yeah, I’ll take that.

It’s of course possible, but I don’t think it’s at all what happened.
At the age of 36 and 15 months out, he was never going to go after JP with blistering attacks from the off, which has never been his style anyway.

That last punch was brutal. He did well to get up from that

AJ was a bit one dimensional, looks like he thought he could win purely on jab and right cross. But reality is a left hook and right uppercut would have really helped tonight. Overall poor performance but nothing to bad.
Paul was very negative, running and lunging a lot. But he would pick his moments to throw and actualy landed some decent shots. Conditioning got him in the end and he was just fvcked. He was mega fornicating tough though, jaws broken, stolll carrying on having a laugh and a smile.
Next for aj? Ring rust is as much about the event as fighting itself so this should help aj after a long layoff go back to big events. I want: fury, wilder or wardly for him next.
Next for Paul? Wire the jaw up, long rest and a few easy touches. Then start looking for mega fights again I guess. McGregor? Ward? Nganu? Kovalev? Froch?
Overall fun. I just really wish they used it to showcase some better undercard fights with young up and coming 50-50s… but Paul’s team will be able to pull some really nice highlights out of it and the train rolls on.

Next for Paul? I believe he'll get his jaw wired shut. Make a surprise debut at the next WrestleMania, and become a Tag Team with his brother Logan.gregregegg wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025, 01:42 AJ was a bit one dimensional, looks like he thought he could win purely on jab and right cross. As a Pro Wrestler you can still sell yourself as a tough guy without having to take risks, and this allowed him a way to kinda get out of Boxing with a big event instead of just quitting.
Jake Paul really didn't embarrass himself any here, but I do suspect the Broken jaw will make him reconsider ever taking another dangerous fight again. He's rich, and he don't need this sh*t

lmfao and people actually thought it was gonna be real.
Went exactly how I thought. A pitter patter sparring match with AJ carrying Paul so he looks credible before finishing it with a decent half-power punch that he pulled.

I find this an interesting perspective. You think it’s faked cool. But so the bombs aj threw early that just missed, you think they are so good at the script they can miss by mms?tigermoth87 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025, 02:39 lmfao and people actually thought it was gonna be real.

I didn’t see aj carry him at all. I saw an aj who was underprepared thinking his right hand would just get it done best and eventually stop a very negative Paul.

The right cross that ended it seemed to be thrown quite half heartedly. The bookies must have cleaned up on all those early round bets.

It didn’t look fake to me, JP ran and AJ couldn’t land. Lots of HWs just stand in front of the other guy so it’s easier to get a knockout and look devastating doing it.
