If it was real I'd imagine only from Paul's perspective, with AJ either taking it easy by instruction or a personal sense of responsibility. If you're not a bully there is a disinclination to embarrass an opponent, but given the fight happened makes me believe there were agreed safeguards.

AJ smiled before his coup de grace as Paul lingered like a drunk who'd just let go of a doorway.

I’m certainly not saying I thought Joshua looked impressive in the grand scheme of things, and I haven’t favoured him to beat Fury since the Franklin fight onwards.

But as a stand alone fight, last night Joshua fought exactly how he chose to IMO, not how anyone else influenced / instructed him to. Given AJ’s own suspect engine, it really wouldn’t have made sense to go all guns blazing early on, against such a mobile target.

Plenty of boxer's have done that through the history of boxing. Fury claimed to do that a while back. Might have been against Francesco Pianeta.

The one thing last night proved without a shadow of a doubt is that the Florida State Athletic Commission don't care about Jake Paul's welfare. That fight should never have been allowed to go ahead.

I'd still watch Jake Paul box if he sincerely tried to fight at his level, and pursue a Cruiserweight Championship like he said, if he keeps doing these kinds of novelty bouts though. This was the last one of those for me.

I suspect Jake Paul will make the transition to WWE with his Brother, and I think it would be a smart and lucrative career move for him.

I'm just not entertaining this, purely out of principal.
I don't go for fake beef, staged events. I'd rather watch an area championship fight if it's closely matched.
