Anthony Joshua didn't make 4 knockdowns

Post by 569227 »

Hello.
Three knockdowns were officially recorded: two in the fifth round and one in the sixth. They also started counting the fourth knockdown, and that's probably why everyone thought there were four knockdowns, but according to the rules of the U.S. commission, I quote, "a knockdown is counted when a boxer is knocked down on the canvas with a legitimate punch, and the referee starts the mandatory count."

Key clarification:

"If the fight is stopped before the boxer gets up and continues the fight, the knockdown is counted not as a knockdown, but as a knockout or technical knockout."

Even the New York Post reported that there were three knockdowns and then one knockout. I ask you not to mislead people and edit the result of the match, because my bets on $ 7000 are counted as a loss, since I bet on 3 knockdowns, and there were 3 knockdowns.

If a fighter receives a count or hits the canvas due to a punch it's a knockdown. Period. "US Commission" also makes no sense as there is no single "US Commission"

If a fighter receives a knockdown count, but does not continue the fight, and the count does not reach 10, then the knockdown "turns" into a KO/TKO. The same boxrec has recorded several dozen or even hundreds of such cases this year. What are you even writing about? Your message does not relate to reality

Dude you have no idea what you are talking about lol. If a fighter gets dropped and doesn't beat the count, it's both a knockdown and a KO. And as someone who works in a sportsbook...we don't use BoxRec for knockdowns lol. We watch the broadcast and count them ourselves. BoxRec is only referenced for Win/Loss, Total Rounds, and method of victory

Not only does this follow how boxing actually works...but this is the industry standard. Learn what you are doing before coming on here to complain about your bets that BoxRec has nothing to do with

Eh? So if a fighter is dropped once and counted out or stopped do we pretend they weren’t knocked down?
