Hopkins had loses before Joe, so it doesn't count! Kess and Taylor and Abraham all had loses, so they don't count for Froch !
you dont think joe doing a job on kessler.didnt make it easier for ward, just saying if ward is going to call out other fighters, than lets look at him

No I don't think it had anything to do with how Ward handled Kessler. Ward fought him totally different than Joe did too.

And lol Kess still beat Frochy after Ward and Joe beat Kess

I saw nothing to think that Kessler was worse because of the Cal fight. Taking a loss doesnt automatically make a fighter lesser, a lot get better actually

Omg Wlad had been KO'd 3 times already, Fury's win means nothing :oo

Do you think people discredit Fury's win because of Wlad's losses because if so you're wrong.

They or I guess I should say I discredit that win because it was one of the worst fights ever, and it disgraced both participants, and the sport itself.

This will really grate on Froch won't it?
To be fair I've just listened the Ringside podcast where Andy Scott reads out Ward's quote to Froch and... he agreed with it completely! Froch actually came over really, really well. Said Ward beat him fair and square and asked to rank the top 5 super-middles of all time put himself at number 3 behind Ward (and RJJ at No. 1). Only thing he was really interested in asserting was his opinion that he would have beaten Calzaghe.

I'm not a big fan of Froch, probably because of his constant going on and on and fornicating on about Calzaghe, (and possibly because I believe Froch would have lost had they fought anyway).

But, he had a good amateur career at international level not just domestic stuff.

He fought 13 world title fights over a 5 year period, lost just 2 of them, all of the against top rated guys in the division. He reversed one of his losses. Fought 9 world champions and beat 8 of them.

For me overachiever is a guy who makes it to world champion, briefly, often luckily, having struggled to beat domestic and continental level guys. Froch dominated at domestic level. Then beat the best (bar 1) at world level in 13 fights. You don't do that if you're an overachiever who doesn't really deserve to be there. He was a world title level fighter, he achieved to that level. So no I don't see it.

Is Carl bankrolling other youtube channels or is he behind them? He has to be behind this video?

Decent vid I thought but clearly over the top. I wouldn't be surprised if our Carl had some input.

That was great. Fair play to Froch, seems to have grown as a person (if that's not too cringe of an expression)

I've not watched the vid yet, I will, but I have to say Ward talks some absolute bollox, a few weeks ago he was saying he could get off the Sofa and beat AJ.

It's definitely hard to rate Ward. I really don't think Calzaghe would have beat Kovalev. We can argue about the first fight but it was still a good effort from Ward. Ward knew every dirty trick in the book on the inside as he showed in his fights. I can't see Calzaghe doing as well vs Kovalev. I think that's a bad style matchup for Calzaghe against a heavy handed puncher like Kovalev who doesn't need a wind up. Froch was just easily outclassed and he has the honesty to admit it. It's actually comical to see how overconfident and arrogant he comes across early in his career. He's saying it all with a straight face and as a matter of fact too which adds to the hilarity. Although the amount of stick he had to take for lacking self awareness has led Froch to becoming more humble.

Yep, Irish-American. Died a couple of years before Ward won his gold medal.
