Fighter of the Year 2025

Post by gilgamesh »

I can't believe I gotta be the one to do this, but since I do.

Who was your Fighter of the Year for 2025?

To me there's only 2 strong candidates for the award, but if you'd want to nominate someone else. Just say who in a post.

I am going with Inoue. Win over Alvarez is by far more impressive thany anything Inoue did this year. But it is still 4 fights to 1. And Inoue oponents, despite were not Alvarez level, he beat the crap out of them. :box: :box: :box:

I'd go with Inoue as well. He's an Undisputed Champion who beat 4 of his Top 10 this year. A rare feat in the modern era for any fighter to do something of the sort.

Terence Crawford got the Biggest win of his career this year, so anyone that gives it to him on that basis I fully understand. Canelo vs Crawford was probably the biggest Boxing Event of the Year.

Crawford moving up 2 divisions and beating a p4p top 5 fighter does it for me.

What ratings? Because the Korean just was not a top 10. No way no how.

I’m not sure cardinas was a top 10 either. Borderline Mabey.
