I'd give Mercer the slightest edge because I think he had better stamina, and a better jab.

They're probably about even as far as size, strength and the ability to take a punch. Neither of these guys are particularly fast so any speed advantage anyone would have would be minimal.

I think it would primarily come down to conditioning and technique. I'd favor Mercer, he'd have to be at his best, but I think for a guy like Lyle he'd understand that and prepare accordingly.
