Matias swarming in, fight getting untidy & Ref warning them both. Smith in the pocket, throwing punches then tying him up. But he's getting caught. Ref warning Smith for holding. Smith has stopped using his excellent jab. They are slugging.
Pretty even round but I don't know if this is good long term for Smith

Smith boxing more to start 4. Jabbing. Matias catches Smith with a good hard combo & Smith fires right back. But he;s getting caught more & more. He's having a right go though
Matias round, great round but it feels like the tide has turned.

Smith caught him with a right, then the exact same right a second later, Matias wobbled then Smith threw a flurry & Matias was down & out. He got up on Zab Judah legs.

Great fight..

Get in there.

As the commentary said, beat him at his own game.
Really showed he had the minerals for that in there tonight.

Yep, if the ref allowed that one to continue Matias could have really got hurt badly.
He looked bad enough when he got up, a few more heavy shots would have done him nothing but harm.

That was a few rounds short of a fight of the year contender…

Probably lucky it ended when it ended, if that went on much longer it was one of those fights that effects people careers moving on.

Absolutely terrible that only about 4 people got to watch that live on tv… that could have been daltons big catapulting fight into stardom. Tough as nails, going to war and trading heavy leather only to find the ko when it feels like only a matter of time till smith was stopped.

Really top stuff. Eddie will be horny about that. Smith needs a big rest and some tidy stick work.

Isaac Cruz is the Interim Champ.

That would be a cracking fight to make in Sheffield in June or so...

Brilliant fight that and great achievement from Dalton. Soaked up the pressure adapted when he had to. Wicked body shot set him up for highlight reel knock down.

Knew he had ability but not that much. That was levels above what he's previously had to show. Futures bright for him now.
