Nikita v Zerafa

Post by amwsnw »

January 16, 2026. Should be a good fight if both lads are fit and free of injury. Several locations bring suggested. Bring it to Perth - I’m sure the state government will jump on board after the contribution towards George v Loma, ufc and wwe. Regardless, hopefully no limit stack this card and I’ll travel for it.

I see this fight is at Boondal in Brisbane. Might be worth the trip.

Yeah, I will definitely go but more for the Paro v Donovan. Evenly matched and both very skilled.

After listening to Zerafa’s comments at the Tim fight, I’m thinking he won’t pass a decent medical. Could be some damage there, stupid comments by him and Badel. They expected to see the tszyu who fought Mendoza- ludicrous.

Oh shit and disaster!

Zerafa should not receive his purse for piking out at the start of the third round, saying he couldn't see due to a cut eye. The audio proved that Zerafa is a liar, and no future promoter should touch him ever.

The doctor at the centre of the ugly end to the Nikita Tyszu-Michael Zerafa fight has declared “one of us is lying” after the farcical end to their much-hyped bout.

Zerafa told veteran ringside doctor Alan Saunders he couldn’t see, but claimed in a post-bout interview the doctor “never gave him the chance.

Dr Saunders refuted Zerafa’s claims.

“Zerafa said he can’t see. He said it twice,” Dr Saunders told Code Sports. “I covered his right eye and asked if he could see and he said, ‘No’.

“I looked at the ref and said, ‘He can’t fight’.

“If he can’t see out of his left eye, gets whacked in the left side of his head and gets serious damage, doesn’t look real good for anybody.”

The crowd was losing it at the doc and referee. It became knowledge Zerafa had quit, hence the turn on him. Zerafa knows the game. If you want to fight you do everything in your power to continue. He knew exactly what to say to get out of taking one more punch. Your career is done Michael, and for everything you achieved you will be remembered for avoiding Tim and quitting against Nikita.

I assume the cut was caused by a head clash???

I was live at the event. 4th row. Whilst there were two head clashes nothing appeared out of order other than a small laceration. I’ve just got back to Perth and rewatched it. Even after being cut Michael slipped punches and landed straights of his own - this doesn’t happen if you can’t see. I urge No Limit not to do this fight again. I along with many others travelled for this. I can confidently say I wouldn’t for a rematch or anything involving Michael. Concentrate on Paro, getting Nikita some fighters who wanna fight and the other talent we have….they are out there.

Zerafa has form for piking out, like when he was in 2022's SAS Australia show.

Click on the link below and be prepared for an orchestrated litany of excuses:

As with any form of physical activity, injuries are normal, but professional athlete Zerafa was hardly expecting to tear his shoulder a mere half an hour into the course.
