Has anybody seen this fight? was it a genuine KO or was Lyle stopped on his feet or on a cut?
Ron Lyle had only been stopped by Ali (some say the stoppage was contraversial) and of course by Foreman before this fight.
Was Lyle just caught cold or was it the first sign that Lyle was getting old?

i have the fight on video.
lynn ball was a journeyman glass chinned puncher.
lyle put him on the deck in the 1st rd, but he got up and in the 2nd backed lyle to the ropes and connected with a few decent shots and lyle just collapsed face first for the whole 10 count.
lyle quit, again, when someone with balls stood up to him. i like lyle but a lot of the time he seemd to be lacking the balls to win in a real scrap.

Can agree that maybe once he was very discouraged against Ali he gave up. No way on Foreman fight. He clawed his way back up and both took lifetimes of damage in that fight with no quit.
