Did he really? Never heard that one before. I thought it was more like he couldn't be arsed?dookus wrote:To be fair, against Fury he suffered a hernia in the buildup and couldn't do enough conditioning work, hence the spare tire.Finn wrote:he did the same; coming in fat against fury and was tip top for vitali and haye, chisora just cant motivate himself for small fights, and also clearly got fed up of training camps that ended without a fight before fighting fury and saw it as a come down from the expected klitschko fights.polecateddy wrote:
No dispute he did do a good show, but since David Haye knocked him out he's lost his desire and found the cake shop. I think it's all downhill now...
Chisora V Wilder

Re: Chisora V Wilder
That's what his trainer claimed shortly after the fight:

“I have watched the fight again, and you have to say that Fury deserved the fight,” Charles said to writer Lee Husson. “I could only give us three rounds. I don’t like to make excuses, but Dereck has been suffering with a hernia for several months. To let him go into the fight was the wrong decision, and I take the blame for that. He was a stone [14-pounds] overweight and that was all down to the hernia limiting our conditioning.

June is a longggg wait for some old boys.
If wilder wins then wilder vs AJ is back as a fight.
If chisora wins he should retire…. Buttttt pretty close to a title fight.

If either man wins they've won a Crack at Wardley I'd imagine.gregregegg wrote: ↑22 Jan 2026, 21:36 June is a longggg wait for some old boys.

Surely the Parker and Zhang fights are enough to show Wilder is done? I know Del is over the hill too but he can still take Wilder....
Re: Chisora V Wilder
I don't think prime Wilder beats any of them. Over the hill or never climbed the hill?Roars Like Me wrote: ↑23 Jan 2026, 11:13 Surely the Parker and Zhang fights are enough to show Wilder is done? I know Del is over the hill too but he can still take Wilder....

Parker wouldn't have been difficult. Even AJ beat him and he's clearly behind Wilder in most people's lists.joshj909 wrote: ↑23 Jan 2026, 13:44I don't think prime Wilder beats any of them. So is this going to happen when FW is saying Chisora still has a contract with him
Re: Chisora V Wilder
Maybe its a work for wilder to get the usyk fight or a work for chisora to get the wardley fightTerminator666 wrote: ↑30 Jan 2026, 05:35 So is this going to happen when FW is saying Chisora still has a contract with him
Re: Chisora V Wilder
Chisora has always pulled little strokes here and there to get paid more. It's not that I believe it to be true, but it wouldn't shock me if he'd said to Wilder "let's say we're going to make the fight with each other, we'll probably get paid just as much as they're offering us already" to try and leverage a bit more cash from Fabio and Usyk.Glass Joe wrote: ↑30 Jan 2026, 06:14Maybe its a work for wilder to get the usyk fight or a work for chisora to get the wardley fightTerminator666 wrote: ↑30 Jan 2026, 05:35 So is this going to happen when FW is saying Chisora still has a contract with him
Chisora is a good salesman.
