Christian Mbilli elevated to WBC champion

‼️ Christian Mbilli has been elevated to WBC super middleweight world champion, the WBC has confirmed.

Terence Crawford was stripped of the title prior to his retirement, and Mbilli has now been upgraded from ‘interim’ status.

Having seen how the WBC has operated in the past, it is a move that wouldn't surprise me. However, Martinez, who I think edged the fight with Mbilli but had to settle for a draw, deserves a rematch with the full title on the line. Alvarez can then take on the winner in September.
