A dirty, tough but very limited scrapper.
He beat Selby and Frampton fair and square I thought.

Smith doesn’t even talk about the fight. He just talks shit. Talks about their age like 3 times in one minute. Then when there’s a big moment, he takes all the limelight.

He was a good little fighter in his day. And the answer is hard work. That’s how he achieved what he did.

118-110 Wood, Warrington just doesn't have it anymore, the aggression, work rate, all clearly dipped, he landed a few eye catching shots here and there but couldn't build, best shot was in the last round, Wood bossed it, looked relaxed, hands low and picking Warrington off with the jab, left hand, quick bursts, nullified most of Warrington's work, as good as you'll box over 12 rounds, Warrington needs to pack it in

Josh’s physique is mental tonight. He’s never looked like that in his life.

I’ve just got back from a night on the piss and this must be the worst RBR thread I’ve ever read. Not one single scorecard posted and only a couple of general fight updates. Is anyone actually even watching it?

Perfect tactical choice to stay southpaw and chip away from range. Surprised me, and obviously a few of youse.

Wood has pissed it there and I enjoyed that more than you all did, it seemed

I think the problem was it was a bit flat & Wood was winning most of the rounds.

I thought you could score anything up to 3 rounds for Warrington as 5, 7 & 12 were close but to give him 3 seems quite generous. Wood won the other 9 pretty clearly for me.

Wood boxed southpaw & nullified Warrington pretty well.

There was one moment in round 2 when Wood’s head was rocked back & there was a bit of blood but no real excitement.

Warrington said in his interview that his issues were mental & he couldn’t get his punches off.

Only proper top top eliete fighter I can think
That you had was John Conteh, and that was back in the 70s. Bellew was just a level below.

And as a side they’re both Everton fans.

I enjoyed the fight, and it was one I had been looking forward to for a long time.

Wood looked so relaxed, and kept Warrington from getting set. Over and over.

Boxing fans in this country are something special. A sold out arena for two men on their last lap with Dave Allen getting a great reception too.

Ideally Leigh and Josh will both retire but I think they will continue. It was a wide win for Wood suggesting he can compete in an elite fight, and Warrington could aim for someone less awkward to go out with a win.
