Lennox Lewis stops Bonecrusher late in the fight or Bonecrusher stinks it out and clinches all night like he did against Tyson and drops a UD.

I'm in two minds over this. I don't think Crusher deserves to be remembered as the Wlad of the 80's off the performance against Tyson. There are plenty of big punchers on his resume who he showed guts to stand and trade punches with.
On the other hand, Bonecrusher says that he made a tactical error, and I think Tyson himself wasn't entirely innocent in that stinker, if I remember correctly he was happy to let Smith smother him without really trying to fight back inside.
But it's a long time since I watched this fight.

Bonecrusher wishes he could be remembered as a Wladimir Klitschko type. He's a great distance behind Wladimir.

Lennox Lewis never had a stoppage win passed the 8th round. He always went safety first and coasted when he couldn't get the other guy out. Most like scenario would be Lennox very early, like inside 3. If Bonecrusher survived that, then it'd be Lewis by 5-6 pts

He probably wishes he could have fought Wlad's level of opposition instead of Holmes, Witherspoon and Tyson.

I don't doubt it. He did beat Spoony that 1 time though. I'm sure he didn't hate that one.

He more than avenged the loss to Tim, no doubt. But he certainly took a beating in that first fight.

It's no great shame considering how early in his Pro career he was fighting such big name opponents. Bonecrusher had fought more big names in his first 20 fights than most guys fight in 40 or 50. He definitely had a tough schedule in his early years no doubt.

I respect Bonecrusher. I just don't see him beating Lennox.

Agreed, I'd definitely pick Lennox to beat Bonecrusher. I just have a bad habit of picking up on a talking point without addressing the actual thread.

Lennox pts, although Crusher had the dig and size to hurt Lennox but more likely UD for LL.

Too much holding by Bonecrusher Smith and loses by DQ.

I don't see it. Bonecrusher was guilty of excessive holding in one fight in his career.

He went toe to toe with punchers like Witherspoon, Bruno, Weaver and Ruddock without ever looking like he needed to resort to holding. And it's worth noting that these guys were closer in dimensions to Lewis than Tyson was.

Lewis wins, probably inside the distance, but I don't see Bonecrusher resorting to holding excessively. In my opinion Bonecrusher overestimated Tyson's ability to do damage from the clinch, hence the clutching.
