No, they might be platinum. Basically Ticketmaster touting their own tickets.

Should be a good fight, I'd pick Wardley because of his punch power, one of his bombs landing flush should do the trick...

Daniel Dubois' pre-fight party 'can't happen again' says promoter allegedly ahead of Fabio Wardley world title clash

Daniel Dubois will have learned lessons from his knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk; the pre-fight party "can't happen again" says promoter allegedly; Dubois fights Fabio Wardley for the WBO heavyweight world title on May 9 in Manchester and warns his rival that his gamble will backfire

The pre-fight ‘party’ that took place ahead of Daniel Dubois’ defeat to Oleksandr Usyk “can’t happen again”, says promoter allegedly.

Dubois rematched Usyk last year, losing their undisputed heavyweight title fight by fifth round knockout.

The Briton only arrived at the venue 90 minutes before he was due to make his ringwalk and some time after Usyk had.

Dubois reached Wembley stadium late and it's been suggested that a party or gathering hosted by his father delayed and disrupted him ahead of the contest.

That will not be repeated when Dubois fights Fabio Wardley for the WBO heavyweight world championship on May 9.

"That can't happen again. The good thing is they'll be in Manchester so they'll be staying in a hotel," promoter allegedly told Sky Sports.

"When he was late getting there, I was tearing my hair out, what I've got left. I can't be arguing with everyone when he's two hours away from the biggest fight ever but afterwards we had a sitdown and said what we had to say."

Dubois wants to put that incident behind him now. "I don't want to go on about that," he told Sky Sports.

The heavyweight did have a brief stint with a new trainer Tony Sims, before returning to coach Don Charles.

"He's in a good place at the moment," Warren noted. "Leaving Don and then going back has been good for him that he's been elsewhere and seen he's more comfortable with Don. There's been a lot of stuff happening behind the scenes for that fight which has been well documented."

Dubois gets an immediate chance at redemption when he fights Wardley. "It's taking no steps backwards. This is the best fight for me," he said. "I'm glad he's taken it. My big chance, my big opportunity and I've got to take his 0 [unbeaten record].

"A lot has gone on behind the scenes. Now I'm going to prove them all wrong and take that belt."

He thinks Wardley is gambling on him struggling with confidence coming off a high profile loss.

But he warned: "They don't know that I'm prepared even more, better than ever.

"It's just another lesson, another milestone in my career. I have no emotions towards that. I'm looking solely towards the future.

"A perfect opponent I think, his style and the way he is, suits me perfectly," Dubois said of Wardley.

"Skills, that's what it's about, breaking him down and then taking him out. Jab, foot movement, speed and just what I do. You guys are going to be in for a treat.

"No more freezing in front of a crowd, I'm used to that now. I'm going to on top of him from the first bell.

"I'm going to do it again, win the world title and hold onto it."

He thinks a victory could well lead him to a showdown with Tyson Fury. "That would be massive, pull that one off again and back to Wembley," Dubois said.

"One fight at a time but I'll come through anyone. I'll be a force for anyone in that ring.

"There's a lot up for grabs."

But he added: "Lots of new fighters coming up as well. Not just Fury. New challenges, new prospects coming up and it's going to be interesting getting in the mix again.

"There's so many prospects so many names out there that. Pull this one off then the doors are wide open to make any big fight domestically or in the world."

I just think that's probably how much those tickets are :maybe: There's lots of tickets available still.

The closer you get to being able to see the fight with an unimpeded view, the heftier the price tag. 5 rows in front counts for a lot. What section are you in?

‘Why have an easy touch?’: Fabio Wardley looks forward to Daniel Dubois fight

Fabio Wardley says he’s not interested in any easy fights.

Wardley on believing Dubois will fold when it gets tough
“If you have something in you, you have something in you. If it’s there — okay, you may have covered it up or bypassed it in a certain fight one way or another — but if it’s in there it’s in there. If it’s in you to give up, you just need the right person in front of you to bring it out.”

On facing Dubois in his first title defense instead of an easier opponent
“Why have an easy touch?…I know it’s a voluntary and I can pick within the top 15 and yeah, okay, maybe there’s some people in there who are not as dangerous as Daniel but ultimately at this level there’s no easy touches. I’m not fighting some journeyman or bum that’s just rolled in off the street. Like, I’m still fighting an actual proper athlete who’s going to work their way to the top 15 somehow. So if you’re in for a penny, you’re in for a pound, mate. Let’s go.”

On if Dubois is the biggest puncher he’s faced
“Yes. Hardest puncher.”

On if he’d be annoyed if Usyk fought Kabayel instead of him
“Yeah, I would. Again, I can understand it — well I can’t, actually…If I have a different hat on and I’m talking commercial draw, I don’t think Kabayel’s a bigger commercial draw than me. So monetarily, are you making more money from him? No. So then what does that mean then? What are you doing it for, or did you pick it because you think it’s an easier fight than me?

“I can understand picking a Wilder because US market, more money, ticks a lot of boxes. But Kabayel is like, why?…So I would be annoyed, but let’s hope that doesn’t happen.”

Fabio Wardley primed for Daniel Dubois 'shoot-out', says WBO heavyweight champion's trainer Ben Davison

Fabio Wardley makes the first defence of his WBO heavyweight belt against Daniel Dubois in Manchester on May 9; Wardley's trainer Ben Davison says: "He's not worried about having a shoot-out. It comes with risk, but he's aware of that - and he's not afraid of that"

Fabio Wardley will be ready for a "shoot-out" with British rival Daniel Dubois, says the WBO heavyweight champion's trainer Ben Davison.

Wardley will make the first defence of his WBO belt against Dubois when two of Britain's most explosive heavyweights share the ring in Manchester on May 9.

Dubois has shown his punch power in stoppage wins over Anthony Joshua, Filip Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller, but Wardley has also demonstrated his threat while ruthlessly halting Joseph Parker and Justis Huni.

"I think it's going to be a shoot-out," Davison told Sky Sports, when asked about Wardley vs Dubois.

"As Fabio has mentioned, he's not worried about having a shoot-out. It comes with risk, but he's aware of that - and he's not afraid of that. I think that's what makes Fabio Fabio.

"He'll be smart in his approach of having that type of fight, capitalising on certain scenarios and moments that favour him, and trying to nullify scenarios that don't favour him.

"We're well aware it's probably not a long fight. Fabio Wardley is sports entertainment at its finest.

"We're excited for that one."

Wardley's dramatic victories over Huni and Parker have been recognised by the British Boxing Board of Control which named the unbeaten 31-year-old as its boxer of the year at its awards ceremony on Sunday.

"There's way, way more for me," Wardley told Sky Sports.

"For me, my head broke through the ceiling 10 fights ago, and all I saw above me was clear skies.

"I was like, 'Cool, the sky's the limit, let's go and let's keep moving'.

"The reason why I picked someone like Daniel Dubois is the ambition of real fights, real opponents, real achievements, and hopefully we have a great fight and I'm back here next year for fighter of the year, or contest of the year.

"I've committed to the idea of constantly pushing and challenging myself."

I am going with Wardley on this one, I think Dubious is quite limited, so long as Fabio doesn't just stand there swinging for the rafters I think he prevails.

I just don't know. So hard to tell with Dubois.

I thought Hrgovic was going to fornicating DESTROY him. He just ate those punches up & kept going.

Wardley a bigger puncher than the Croat but not as skilled.

At the moment I can easily see this going either way, early or late.

Which of how it should be.

P.s. Dubois has a great jab when he remembers it.

It's a great fight, and fair play to Fabio for not taking a soft touch.

This is the kind of fight boxing needs, two dangerous punchers in their primes - though arguably, Dubois mentally has passed his.

Hrgovic is an arm puncher - had he eat those punches from Fabio, he would have been in lalaland.

Hrgovic is more skilfull sure, but Fabio seems to have a good work ethic and far better stamina.
