No effing way should we have anything to do with this attack on Iran, it's got Epstein files written all over it. Besides Trump practically called our soldiers shitbags the other week.

Banjo is right, the worst thing that ever happened to planet Earth was the end of the British Empire. Islamic nations like Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and several others in Africa don't deserve to exist. And their existence comes at great cost to us. Hamas attacking Israel on Oct 7th was a watershed moment, people still underestimate the gravity of it. For Israel and thier western allies, including us, it's gloves off time. No Islamic regime should survive.

Don’t feel bad. General “Bone-spur” Trump has called US military war casualties “losers” in the past. But I agree. Nobody in Europe should get involved in this potential shitshow
Sadly, every single UK leader in living memory, has been a lapdog for US aggression.

Notable exception - Harold Wilson who refused to send British troops to Vietnam despite being put under great pressure by Richard Nixon.

This looks like it could easily escalate into a wider regional conflict, which probably suits Israel just fine, they are keen to keep on stealing land from their neighbours, including Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, and the chaos of war will give them the perfect opportunity to 'secure' land for their 'defence.'

Of course America is largely insulated from the effects, at least their civilian populations are - though of course there is the risk of another 9/11 type scenario.

We started it by shooting down their drones, then they attacked our base, why are we even getting involved, call me a cynic but i wonder if the fact that loads of our politicians, footballers, bankers, businessmen, celebrities etc etc have got very expensive properties and investments in those gulf states has got anything to do with it.....surely not.

From MEN:

Donald Trump said he was “very disappointed” Sir Keir Starmer initially blocked the US from using British military bases to target Iran, adding that the Prime Minister took “far too long” to change his mind.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Donald Trump said Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer “took far too long” to change his mind and allow the US to allow British bases to target Iran.

He said: “That’s probably never happened between our countries before.

“It sounds like he was worried about the legality.”

He added: “All of a sudden [Mauritius] was claiming ownership. He should have fought it out and owned it or make him take it, if you want to know the truth. But no, we were very disappointed in Keir.”

We seem perfectly fine with the idea of drones killing civillians when it comes to Gaza and the palestinians really are defenceless, these gulf states are swimming in dough, they own half of the property in London including the likes of the shard and harrods, they even own Premier League football teams, why should British taxpayers pay for their defence, they can afford their own jets.

2025 saw the first net migration numbers (those choosing to leave not being forced) since 1935.

Emigration to the UK hit record numbers in 2025.

We should be drilling for our own gas and oil. The north sea is a never ending supply of Texas T.

Why are we still tying the price of electricity generation to LNG anyway - it is a fornicating scam.

I get my energy from a company that only uses renewables - so why are my electricity prices affected by the price of gas.

If someone has a good explanation, I would like to hear it.

We can't drill our own here, we sold off North Sea oil decades ago.

Yeah, we sold the rights to drilling for peanuts - meanwhile Norway kept theirs and built a massive sovreign wealth fund of the back of it and other national assets.

Trump saying if he has to, he’ll send ground troops into Iran.

Not Cyprus, per se.

The runway of the UK Base being used by the Americans for attacks into Iran. W@nker Starmer buckled and said that they could use it, Well, he was told they were going to use and he shat himself and said ok.

Bit of a difference.
No American aircraft have taken off from that base

What does he care, he's already said glibly "there will probably be more casualties."

I think it's nailed on he will send troops in, he needs a bigly war to distract from the full horrors of the epstein files coming out, there's going to be thousands of rich and influential people, who will entreat him to do anything to prevent that happening, and I'd imagine, that Trump, to say the least, has 'skin in the game' himself.

If they send troops in, it's going to be a shitshow, lots of Iranians will die, and US servicemen too. The revolutionary guard and their associated paramilitaries are huge.
