It achieves nothing. It is a waste of effort.stujones wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026, 17:06He won’t get impeached, but why aren’t the democrats even try to motion it. Sure it will get shot down, but they just look like they aren’t even trying.giacomino wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026, 14:35Also, there will be no case of impeachment as long as the current compliant Congress is in office. As he has said, he can shoot someone in Times Square in NY and lose zero voters among the MAGAs currently in powerjamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026, 12:21
15% is the maximum tarrif he can impose, albeit temporarily without congressional approval.
He hasnt broken their ruling.
At least the tories etc have said Starmer should resign over Mandelson.
The tories spoke up, as there is an expectation still of decency in British politics, this has all but vanished in the US. The republican party is effectively a vassal to Trump and the MAGA movement, full of cowards.
Trump is about to deliver another 'state of the union' speech, which will no doubt feature two main components.
1) Bragging about mostly non existent or wildly exaggerated achievements.
2) Whining and moaning about how he's not being allowed to act like a tyrant by the Supreme Court and how the radical left are destroying the country, and how the elections are rigged.
Neither of these things are going to play to anything other than the most indoctrinated parts of his base.
