Is this what Hearn is doing for revenge?

Have UFC fighters sign up to his talent agency so they can manage them?

🚨✍️ Eddie Hearn confirms Tom Aspinall has signed with the Matchroom Talent Agency.

The newly-formed talent management agency will assist Aspinall with "key services ranging from commercial, through to publishing, digital, broadcast and legal," per Matchroom.

It’s all commercial and advisory.

Dana doesn’t even like Tom.

Not getting the reaction to this. Hearn basically now gets to sit at a table at some point to negotiate a contact with Hunter Campbell and handle Toms commercial obligations. He's still a UFC fighter and his next fight will be in the UFC. Hardly the same as white signing Benn to fight under the Zuffa banner.

'No issues' with Hearn after Aspinall deal - White

Dana White says he has "no issues" with Eddie Hearn after UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall signed for the boxing promotor's new talent agency.

Britain's Aspinall joined 'Matchroom Talent Agency' on Thursday in a "commercial and advisory" deal rather than a promotional one, meaning the 32-year-old remains signed to the UFC.

The move comes two weeks after boxer Conor Benn left Hearn's promotional outfit Matchroom to join White's Zuffa Boxing.

Hearn, 46, has been publicly feuding with UFC president White since the launch of Zuffa.

Speaking before UFC 326 on Saturday, White compared the deal to his relationship with Tito Ortiz - a fighter White used to manage prior to a long-lasting feud.

"We don't have any issues with Eddie, they can get whoever they want to represent them," said White.

"Tito Ortiz used to represent people but we got it done."

Aspinall has been dealing with eye problems since his title fight with Ciryl Gane last October had to be stopped because of repeated eye pokes.

He had double eye surgery in February and it is unclear when he will be able to return to action.

Aspinall became embroiled in the Matchroom-Zuffa Boxing feud when Hearn suggested White "humiliated" him by not backing the fighter after the eye controversy.

Earlier in the news conference, White confirmed the fights for the UFC's unprecedented show at the White House on 14 June will be announced on Saturday.

The UFC is spending $60m (£44.3m) to host the one-of-a-kind event in Washington DC to mark 250 years of American independence.

A number of fighters have expressed interest in competing on the card including Jon Jones, Conor McGregor, Alex Pereira, Amanda Nunes, Nate Diaz and Islam Makhachev.

Eddie Hearn says Tom Aspinall’s UFC purses are ‘completely unfair’

Aspinall explained his decision to partner with Hearn soon after news of their agreement emerged, and it would seem that financial motives played the biggest part.

In addition to looking to extract the most value from his position away from the cage, Aspinall was ‘bothered’ by Conor Benn’s deal with Zuffa Boxing, which is worth a reported $15 million.

That is significantly higher than anything the UFC champ would have made inside the Octagon, and judging by Hearn’s reaction to seeing his contracts, the gulf in earnings really is massive.

“I’ve been able to read those contracts and I’ve been able to talk to him about the purses that he’s received,” Hearn told Boxing News.

“The reality is that when he was headlining in front of 20,000 on pay-per-view, he was receiving probably half the amount of money that I would pay a boxer for a British title fight at York Hall, Bethnal Green, in front of 1,200 people.

“I was absolutely baffled and astonished,” he continued. “Completely unfair.”

My daughter does kickboxing twice a week, costs me 12 quid. I’ve contacted Matchroom re them representing her. I reckon with them on board we can get that down to 8 quid.

Can't see what Hearn can really do for him. Situation is quite simple , When and IF Aspinal gets over his injury and gets fully fit to fight , He;s contracted to Dana and the UFC , so in laymans terms he gets fit next month .. Dana offers him a fight , Eddie can sit at the table and announce i'm his new manager , So what ,

Aspinal is contracted to fight for Dana , in an interview he also stated in the contract there is a maximum he can and will be paid , Eddies says i'm his manager and we want more , Dana says fook off theres the contract and thats all your getting , Eddie says well he's not fighting for that Dana says , see ya , he's not fighting at all them you give him a job at matchroom sweeping up , cos he's not getting out of his contract and if he fights thats all he's getting ,

Eddies not stupid relizes this is how it could go , so sits in keeps his mouth shut and trys to get him sponsors and wait fo his contract to expire ,, jump forward a year or so his contract expires , he goes to sign another one and is offered the same one , Eddie says NO we want himto get boxers money , Dana simply says SEE YA , you run your own UFC show and pay him what the hell you like , but my contracted fighters are unavailable .

So really unless matchroom are starting matchroom UFC i can't see the point

Eddie has taken on a commercial, legal and advisory role. That will include contract negotiations for UFC, a possible step into Boxing, sponsorship, Strictly Come Dancing, I'm a Celebrity and all manner of opportunities.

Yes i can see what your saying . BUT Dana rules and controls Ufc so Aspinals future in any shape or form be it come dancing tv comercial for weetbix , whatever really all depends on Aspinal being a ufc fighter and that can rely on Dana . Without Dana who and where is he gonna fight . Its a danggerous sport he desrves all he can get like most i hope he can make more but this could be risky for his carreer id Dana takes it has an afront . Cant see matchroom trying to put Ugfc fights on

I guess it depends on the contract. If Dana is obliged to get Tom X number of fights then he would struggle to leave him on the sidelines.

Hearn has the opportunity to do something hilarious here if he signs a bunch of the top ufc names (whoever they are these days) to management deals.
