Well, looks now like this is becoming a proxy war between the US and Russia - what could possibly go wrong.

There.is a real chance he will send the National Guard into New York

Doe New York have oil?
Recent intelligence suggests that New York have been enriching Uranium and Mamdani is in fact an agent of the Iranian regime, and he's planning on nuking DC.

Blame my idiot fellow Americans. Seamus votes for Trump because he's the peace president and Perkin votes for Jill Stein to send them a message. :brick:

I did and for alot of other reasons as well. And as regards a proxy war between the US and Russia, did I hear correctly ? And here I thought Trump was Putin's bitch. Oh well, don't all line up at once to admit that when it comes to international politics you don't know your ass from your elbow.

Hardly a proxy war when it’s Trumpestan, Israel, and a bunch of others vs Iran and all Iran is getting while getting bombed to shyte is Russian intelligence. Trump has been Putin’s bitch on Ukraine pretty clearly, but he’s also quick to turn on people if he feels crossed so it will be interesting to see if he does

From what I am reading, - though it is tough to corroborate, whilst Tehran is getting hit, Israel is also getting badly hit, they are just supressing the news.

Russia and China are sharing intelligence allowing Iran to target US bases all over the region - of course the US will downplay it, but if they are providing intelligence, then Trump is definitely bellicose enough, to start threatening Russia directly. Though if they have dirt on him, then perhaps that's another matter....

Never claimed to be an expert in international relations, even though I did get a B in it in college. I'd rather not know my ass from my elbow regarding IR, as opposed to you the doesn't know his ass from his elbow regarding human nature. I actually think Trump doesnt want war, not out of any concern for the combatants or civillians etc but because he thinks its a massive waste of money.
He's clearly compromised to fvck though and being leant on hard by the Netanyahu government

Trump wants whatever is expedient - he feels he needed wins and to distract from his entanglement with Epstein, and if that takes putting American servicement on the ground, to get shot to bits, so be it.

Those who think the US will just steamroller into Iran and take over, might want to reflect on the fact that Iran has had decades to prepare for this, and have close to 600,000 proper professional soliders, and elite combat forces.

The whole thing is a shitshow, lots of people will die.

The only reason I think Trump might avoid troops going in, is he doesn't want the blowback of American servicemen being sent home in caskets continually, but he couldn't give a crap

The only reason he wanted peace is so he could get his hands on the peace prize. His odds were always slim, but none just rode into town after this.

Oh look, it seems he is about to declare victory.

Hilarious, Iran still has vast stockpiles of ballistic missiles, if US intelligence is to be believed.

I wonder how this is playing with the American public - for the MAGA faithful - this surely looks like a climdown? Christ knows though.

So the necessary regime change was just a younger version of the previous guy?

I suppose the Iranians played it smart - disruption of global supply chains for oil, is too big a risk for anybody, even the US.

Once the stock markets start tanking, and gas, and invitably the cost of good that need to be moved around, then even Trump has to back off.

I guess regime change wasn't important enough.

Given the turmoil around the world, it seems to me that the US is doing its best, intentionally or not, and quite successfully to unite both its enemies and its former allies against itself. Keep up the good work! :brick:

This might also play a factor. Gulf states looking to possibly withdraw from deals with the US.

Literally took all of 3 hours for him to backtrack yet again and say our gains have been insufficient and the war will have to go on longer.

The country is being run by a demented moron who fancies himself an emperor, and his cadre of half-wit sycophants. We are in deep trouble.

He's literally attacked 7 countries already and ordered more airstrikes in his 1st year than Biden did in 4. This war in Iran is costing $1B/day. He's not anti-war in any sense whatsoever.

He loves war for no other reason than it makes him feel big and powerful. The fact that it lets his friends make a little extra money on the side is just a bonus.

Agreed. Of course he wanted this war. At least on the day that he started it. He just does things randomly. Was feeling like a tough guy. He couldn't care less about the lives lost and all of the destruction that he causes. doesn't care about the people of Iran either.

It's Sleepy Joe's fault that Iran has stockpiled all those weapons and is so close to getting Nuclear warheads. Sleepy Joe's fault yet again!

Apparently Trump has been "inspired" by talks with Lindsey Graham. He's so easy to manipulate and Lindsey wants war more than anything. Listening to Lindsey Graham talking about this war is fucking insane. He's so exited and happy, he can hardly contain himself. What a weird psycho he is.
