Francisco Rodriguez Jr record has one too many wins
Francisco Rodriguez Jr record has one too many wins
So I'm noticing a pattern with this guy Francisco(drug cheating) and yet for some odd reason when he fought in June the result hasn't changed on BoxRec from a win to NC. Why? The WBC has taken the win from him in there record books but the database that's so respected such as BoxRec hasn't done right by the victim in the situation (Yafai
). Why is that?

the wbc cant overturn wins/losses, they simply manage a belt
id agree though if a man is caught loaded to the gills with banned substances, it shouldnt be a win any more. in fact i wonder why they dont give them a dq loss rather than no contest

I have a pretty fair and balanced stance on these things which is. Whatever happened in the ring is what happened, and there's no changing it with the stroke of a pen.
James Toney still beat John Ruiz as far as I'm concerned. Mike Tyson still beat Andrew Golota. Ryan Garcia still beat Devin Haney...and so on.
That'll pretty much always be my stance on it. If they ever make punishment for PED's more than a slap on the wrist I might take it more seriously, for now I look at it the same way I look at Tito throwing a low blow every time he got knocked down or hurt. It's a fighter doing what it takes to win.
Life isn't fair, and Boxing is a Reflection of Life.

Boxing is a reflection of life, it ain't fair & it's filled with cowards afraid to stand up apparently. To often men go along to get along. Badu Jack was cheated by a drug cheat & that fighter was banned for 2+ years & that fight was over turned. So there are examples of some officials in the sport doing more than just looking the other way. Life isn't fair but what's wrong with setting examples, what's wrong with wanting men to conduct themselves in a civilized manner. I thought this sport(boxing) was a gentlemen's sport.
