Yeah, much as I love Usyk, I wish he would just fck off now. He's holding the belts hostage.
The only fight with it, is Wardley if he wins.
Dubois and Fury he's beaten already both decisively.
I have a feeling Wardley prevails against DDD - I think he has more grit, though I've been wrong so many times, that frankly I'd ignore me if I was anybody else.
Re: Moses Itauma vs. Jermaine Franklin | DAZN - 28 March 2026
Fury looks to finally be pursuing a Joshua fight and has dismissed another fight with Usyk so hopefully we see a change of plans to be Kabayel and Wardley. If Wardley beats Dubois, I'd like to see him face Itauma on the same card that Usyk faces Kabayel and then the winners face off. I don't see anyone else getting close to getting or deserving a title shot in that time.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026, 14:35Yeah, much as I love Usyk, I wish he would just fck off now. Kabayel seems to be one name that Usyk isn't really interested in.joshj909 wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026, 15:42Fury looks to finally be pursuing a Joshua fight and has dismissed another fight with Usyk so hopefully we see a change of plans to be Kabayel and Wardley. He probably fancies his chances more with Wardley due to his style and his technical ability.
I am pretty sure Usyk already said he's not interested in fighting Itauma.

I think Itauma would be difficult to ignore if he beat Wardley or Dubois after they beat the other. I don't know whether Itauma would beat them but whoever wins that would be the clear number one after Usyk retires.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026, 15:46Kabayel seems to be one name that Usyk isn't really interested in.joshj909 wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026, 15:42Fury looks to finally be pursuing a Joshua fight and has dismissed another fight with Usyk so hopefully we see a change of plans to be Kabayel and Wardley. I can somewhat understand Kabayel. He's not a big name and a win over him might not help a legacy when it's looked back on in years time but right now he's clearly first or second most deserving contender. If only he fought someone top 5 or top 10 instead of Knyba and Usyk might have fancied the fight.
If Usyk doesn't want to face Itauma or Kabayel and Fury doesn't want to face him then who does he face as his third and final fight of he beats Wardley? Alternatively, if Dubois beats Wardley, surely Usyk isn't choosing him again but that may be desperation speaking.

25-1 Franklin by stoppage. Worth a punt. Never been down, took AJ and Whyte 12 rounds whilst Moses aint been tested down the stretch.

Be interesting to see if it goes past 6 months with Itauma not having fought recently if his stamina gives out, won't be the first prospect to find this out the hard wayforcefraser wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026, 16:24 25-1 Franklin by stoppage. 6 months of fighting would be hard on your stamina.

I just can't see it lads. Franklin has the look of someone here to makeup the numbers - doesn't even sound convinced in himself in interviews.Coco wrote: ↑24 Mar 2026, 03:20Value for moneyforcefraser wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026, 16:24 25-1 Franklin by stoppage. I'd say there is more of a chance of a Fury upset than an Itauma one.

If Mak was 25-1, it's a good value bet.Frostieballs wrote: ↑24 Mar 2026, 12:41I just can't see it lads. I don't expect Franklin to win, but we still haven't seen anything of Moses stamina or punch resistance
Worth a tenner all day long

Can’t see how those odds are not attractive, given how much we don’t yet know about Itauma.

I would take that, but after I see him at the weigh in. See if he has been actually training. His gym discipline is questionable sometimes.forcefraser wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026, 16:24 25-1 Franklin by stoppage. Worth a punt. Am I right in thinking that Itauma never lost as an Amateur?

What's the odds on a Mak and Franklin double?

Anyone any thoughts on Heaney vs Warburton? I was thinking Heaney all day but odds have crashed in, in some places on Warburton.
Re: Moses Itauma vs. Jermaine Franklin | DAZN - 28 March 2026
Low but not 40/1 low given the certain uncertainties with Fury and Itauma. Them both to win by KO is 104/1 which very is wide. Franklin by decision and Mak by KO is a whopping 181/1. It's unlikely to come in but it should not be that wide in my opinion. And is worth a couple of quid.

Re: Moses Itauma vs. Jermaine Franklin | DAZN - 28 March 2026
Mak by KO I think is reasonable -
Franklin by points will be tough. I think even if Itauma has bad stamina - he's probably going to build up an early lead and get a Johnny Fisher vs Dave Allen 1 type decision.

Ezra Taylor keen to prove his top-level readiness vs. Willy Hutchinson
Ezra Taylor has carried himself with the air of a world-class fighter since the very start of his career.
Known as “The Cannon,” Taylor (13-0, 9 KOs) turned professional relatively late, but racked up a number of eye-catching early knockouts, quickly making himself a fighter to watch. Now 31 years old, the light heavyweight has decided the time is right to strike.
On Saturday night, Taylor’s 10-round fight with Willy Hutchinson will be the chief support to Moses Itauma’s heavyweight clash with Jermaine Franklin. DAZN will stream the event globally from Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England.
Hutchinson (19-2, 14 KOs) has a bigger profile, a far deeper amateur background and has boxed higher-caliber professional opposition. Taylor still feels like the inconsistent Scotsman represents the perfect bridge to world level.
“I work hard and I want to step up,” Taylor said during an appearance on DAZN’s “Face-Off” show. “I don’t want to be stagnated. Why would I be here trying to fight people below me or on my on my level? On paper, Willy Hutchinson is higher than me, so why would I not want to fight him?
“Hence why he said on the camera, ‘You need a few more fights before fighting me,’ because – on paper – he’s ahead of me. So, this is amazing for me. It’s an amazing opportunity after I deal with him that I’m solidified on the light heavyweight scene.”
If Hutchinson can blow hot and cold, Taylor has been on a steady upward curve. He was good when beating Troy Jones over 10 rounds last May and better during a one-sided dismantling of Steed Woodall in October.
Aware that this fight presents him with an opportunity to change his life, he has taken himself away to Los Angeles to prepare with his trainer, Malik Scott, and is sure that his natural size and strength will be factors this weekend.
Hutchinson moved up to the light heavyweight division after being shockingly stopped by Lennox Clarke in a British super middleweight title fight back in 2021. Taylor believes that Hutchinson made the move to 175 pounds out of choice rather than necessity.
“You haven’t fought anyone like me,” Taylor said. “Remember, you’re coming into my weight category. I came into this game at light heavyweight. You came in at super middleweight, got a bit lazy. You talk about life, right? Life must have gobbled you up because you said, ‘You know what? I can’t shift these pounds.’
“This is the difference between this guy. I’m a professional, bro. You, you're just going through the motions, whatever you’re getting. Again, I respect and commend you. Life is hard, man. It ain’t easy. But it depends on how you deal with it. You know what I’m saying? It depends on how you deal with it. What you want to deal with. What you want to get from boxing.”
