The Most Entertaining Draws ever?
The Most Entertaining Draws ever?
A Draw.
Probably every fight fans least favorite result. An inconclusive finish that means we basically went the distance just to wind up back at the same place we started from.
However every once in a while we're lucky enough to see a draw where we legitimately saw the best of both fighters, and it raises the reputation of both fighters in the eyes of the Sporting public.

Some of the best I've seen are
Leonard Dorin vs Paul Spadafora (this one is kinda forgotten, but it was an amazing bout)
James Toney vs Mike McCallum 1
Saul Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin 1
Anybody seen any better draws than those?

Can't believe I forgot Marquez vs Pacquiao 1
That's probably the best I've ever seen actually. A guy managing to get a draw after getting dropped 3 times in the 1st round is completely unheard of anywhere except that bout. It's one of the miracles of Boxing that lead to one of the all time great rivalries.

Hagler vs Antuofermo was definitely an excellent fight. A lot of the time a controversial ending will kinda spoil people's memory of that fact which is a shame.scartissue wrote: ↑01 Apr 2026, 14:27Definitely the best. I did think Hagler-Antuofermo I was a good one too.

We can't forget Marvelous vs Vito Antuofermo (I) in 1979. It was the first time ever that I saw Marvelous fight.

First time I ever saw Hagler as well. Might have been Antuofermo's best fight. He got way behind, but gradually made a good comeback.

Vito Antuofermo fought his ass off. It was his defining fight. He really sucked it up and was relentless. I think that he lost that fight with Marvelous, but, not mad at the draw decision. It was a close fight in my view.Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑03 Apr 2026, 14:42 First time I ever saw Hagler as well. Might have been Antuofermo's best fight. His two eyes were bloodied with cuts, and he like a warrior with a great heart, kept coming and coming. He didn't give up. That's a lot of heart from Vito.

Dang, didn't that fight footage remind you of physical embodiment of the famous 1909 painting THE STAG AT SHARKEY'S ?
( from Tom Sharkey's Athletic Club that had been located at Columbus Ave and W.67th street in NYC)
they must have those type of fights almost every night there !

Sugar Ray Robinson vs Gene Fullmer (III) in 1960. I saw the fight and in my view, Robinson won by a slight margin. He could have been middleweight King for the 6th time!
