Taduran retained his IBF strawweight title last night with a 7th round stoppage over Mexican Alvarez, good fight actually, all southpaw affair,Alvarez looked very sharp early on and won the first couple or 3 rounds, catching Taduran with some crisp punches but round 4 Taduran had him down twice from body shots, he hit Alvarez twice when he was down after first KD but got no warning
Alvarez was still game but Taduran had him down again at the end of the 6th from a left hand, it was all over in the 7th when a left to the body had Taduran down a fourth time in the fight, he was up early but ref seen enough

Re: Pedro Taduran vs Gustavo Perez Alvarez
I was backing Taduran but the first 3 rounds had me worried. GAP never recovered from the first knockdown.
