Wow thanks for sharing guys.
I had big hopes for Audley right up until I saw him fight pro lol
Always remember Middleton walking out to "Money for nothing" by dire straits, Harrison looking a lot fatter than he did at the Olympics and also looking like someone who did not punch his weight despite taking out Middleton pretty sharpish.
Very happy to hear that he got such a nice payday and God bless his soul

I loved Audley I followed him since he won the 98 Commonwealths. I was only 14 I thought he was brilliant I even bought his book after the Olympics I thought he was the best boxer ever. Ah to be young. I can still remember his debut. He still had a good career I think, showed real heart to win the EBU with one arm/ a torn pec, and also avenge the Williams loss. I also used to think the Prizefigter comps were a really big deal.black panther wrote: ↑04 Apr 2026, 13:28 Wow thanks for sharing guys.

He'd been in with a lot of the top HWs of the time (Wlad, Tua, old Tyson, Jaun Carlos Gomez, Chaguev, Audley and loads of others).
He said Harrison was actually super talented and he was amazed how bad his performances were compared to how he was in the gym. Classic example of a gym fighter, I suppose.

I really liked Audley. He honestly thought he could control every aspect of the A Force business but would not listen to anybody. The rest is historySeanBrennan wrote: ↑03 Apr 2026, 14:29And thought he was a better businessman than he was. Ended up bankruptBercli wrote: ↑03 Apr 2026, 14:06Audley insisted on running the business and fighting. Never listened to anyone, which is why he made a basic mistake.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑03 Apr 2026, 11:28
Sweet payday for back then… especially for a no hoper. I mean surely A Force could’ve negotiated a lower price? Or got some other no chancer in there?

No I don't to be honest. Even if I did if it was not common knowledge it stayed private.Controversial wrote: ↑03 Apr 2026, 15:50Do you know what the story was with Middleton being supposedly kidnapped?
