Trump is now seeking a $1.5T military budget, the largest ever by a huge margin:

He is trying to turn us into a kleptostate like Russia where the entire economy lives in service to the president and the military he personally commands.

One thing about this disastrous war is that Trump will not end it. He's a guy who simply cannot go back on any decision he makes. Can't say sorry. Can't admit mistakes. So during his term he will not go back on this. He will only escalate. And every step he escalates is a further step he won't go back. And when he finally leaves office and inevitably a Democrat takes over, he will call everyone weak for ending his pointless war.

You guys are so lucky to have him. America was once great, now its simply a shambles.

What i find depressing is that more than a 3rd of them still support him, just how? I think Murdoch has a lot to answer for in that regard. Brainwashing them with his poisonous entertainment channel. I saw a clip the other day, where they were basically saying the high gas prices are good for Americans. It's nothing but propaganda for Trump. The rest of the "free world" needs to "decouple" from the US.

This is a bit rich coming from Greenwald. Isn't he one of the idiots who bought into Trump as the "antiwar" candidate to begin with?

I think it should be clear to one and all that there is and never has been an anti-war U.S. President. No matter who gets into the Presidency they will come up against the military-industrial complex and lose. U.S. wars are predicated on what's in the best interests of the U.S. military and Corporations and the President will have to act on behalf of their interests or be turfed for a more compliant President to take his or her place.

If JD gets in you might well see an accident happen to Mrs as the backers of JD won't want her in the White House.

Then the Widow Kirk will be slotted in.

Putin never pulled Trump's strings. AIPAC and Netanyahu always did, although it wasn't as obvious as it is now.

Nobody is "pulling Trump's strings". He's a demented imbecile who has hated Iran since the 1980s and already attacked them previously during both terms of his presidency.

If anyone is pulling Trump's strings it's Saudi Arabia. He told the prince "I like you too much." The display of opulence greatly appeals to him.

I honestly think Trump is in over his head enough when it comes to Geo-Politics that he basically doesn't understand half of the consequences explained to him, and doesn't really have a plan. He has an idea of things he'd like to achieve I think, he has no idea what would be the best way to get them.

He's used to just being able to buy stuff he wants or pay somebody to get it for him. When it's more complicated than that. He doesn't understand.

He's an idiot and they are all trying to manipulate him. Usually you can tell whomever he talked to last. If it's Putin, he'll spew Russian talking points immediately after and so on. Remember when Trump questioned the validity of the demarcation of the US-Canadian border? Guess who he had just been talking to.

It's a perfect storm of bad people manipulating Trump, Israelis, Saudis and Evangelical Wackos. And yes it is his responsibility to wake up. In the meantime if a Khorramshahr 4 takes out the Saudi high command or Netanyahu tomorrow I'll be cheering.
