Kelvin Davis and Keon Davis headlining April 4 in Norfolk, Virginia


Two of the three fighting Davis brothers will perform on April 4 in their hometown of Norfolk, Virginia.

That’s according to the third fighting Davis – former lightweight titleholder and current junior welterweight contender Keyshawn Davis.

“DB3 brothers are throwing our first show under our own DB3 Promotions,” Keyshawn wrote on social media.

Kelvin Davis, 15-1 (8 KOs), will be in the main event at Chartway Arena, which has a capacity of about 9,500 people. Kelvin is a 29-year-old junior welterweight coming off his first defeat, a majority decision dropped to Nahir Albright this past June at Norfolk’s Scope Arena.

That show was supposed to be headlined by Keyshawn Davis defending against Edwin De Los Santos, but that bout was canceled when Keyshawn came in massively overweight. And after Kelvin lost to Albright, Keyshawn and Keon Davis allegedly “jumped” Albright backstage.

Keon Davis, 4-0 (3 KOs), will be in the co-feature on April 4. The 24-year-old welterweight also last fought on that June show in Norfolk. He scored a second-round knockout of the 3-0 Michael A. Velez-Garcia.

Kelvin’s and Keon’s opponents have not yet been announced.

Keyshawn, 14-0 (10 KOs), just made his debut at 140lbs, dominating Jamaine Ortiz and winning via 12th-round TKO on the January 31 undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson.

Ivan Redkach out, Kelvin Davis to face DeMichael Harris instead

Kelvin and Keon Davis both have new opponents for their show on April 4 at Chartway Arena in their hometown of Norfolk, Virginia, according to the social media account of their namesake DB3 (Davis Brothers) Promotions.

In the main event, the once-beaten Kelvin will no longer be taking on Ivan Redkach, 24-8-1 (19 KOs), who was last seen suffering knockout losses in 2024 to Batyrzhan Jukembayev (TKO5) and Jose Zepeda (TKO2).


Kelvin will instead take on DeMichael Harris, 12-2-1 (11 KOs). Harris, a 29-year-old from Georgia, has also lost back-to-back fights, dropping unanimous decisions in 2025 to the 8-1-2 Anthony Cuba and the 15-0 Haven Brady Jnr. Both of those bouts were at lightweight. Kelvin’s last match was at junior welterweight. This fight is listed on BoxRec as a welterweight 10-rounder.

Kelvin, 15-1 (8 KOs), will be returning from suffering that first defeat nearly 10 months ago. The 29-year-old lost a majority decision this past June at Norfolk’s Scope Arena.

That Scope Arena show was supposed to be headlined by Keyshawn Davis defending against Edwin De Los Santos, but that bout was canceled when Keyshawn came in massively overweight and lost his lightweight title on the scales. And after Kelvin lost to Albright, Keyshawn and Keon Davis allegedly “jumped” Albright backstage.

Keon is 4-0 (3 KOs). The 24-year-old also last fought on that June show in Norfolk. He scored a second-round knockout of the 3-0 Michael A. Velez-Garcia.

For this April 4 show, Keon was initially supposed to face Marcus Davidson, 6-1 5 KOs), a welterweight whose last bout under the traditional Queensberry Rules was in March 2023 but who also had bouts in the Team Combat League/Team Boxing League into 2024.

Instead, Keon will now face Andre Sherard in what BoxRec lists as a junior middleweight six-rounder. Sherard, 5-4 (4 KOs), is a 36-year-old coming off a third-round TKO loss last March to the 15-2-1 Raul Garcia. For another gauge on his talent level, Sherard’s record also includes a decision loss in 2020 to the 15-30-5 Gilbert Venegas.

Keyshawn Davis is not scheduled to fight on this show. He made his debut at 140lbs earlier this year, dominating Jamaine Ortiz and winning via 12th-round TKO on the January 31 undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson
