Was Turki disrespectful towards AJ?

Post by Pender »

After the tragic circumstances AJ has been through and clearly still healing, was it disrespectful from Turki to put him on the spot at the weekend? I feel on one hand Turki doesn't give a monkeys about boxers welfare ect and on the other Josh wasn't there for nothing :box:

Yes he was . In fact he sat them all together Eubank . Hearn .spencer . The guy does.nt give a toss about them in fact Hearn has said on numerous occasions that he .King TUT TUT loves this sort of thing he finds it amuzing ..personaly i find it a bit gross to watch multi millionaires with generational wealth scurry around like starving dogs licking his arse in the hope there going to grab some of his money
They all call him your highness for fook sake . Who died and made him KING . Its not one its all of them lick Tut TUTS arse

If AJ didn't want to make a match with Fury he shouldn't have been in that building.

Zero sympathy for AJ on this one.

Completely. Very unedifying. AJ handled
It well.

But this is how people behave when they have enough wealth that everyone kneels before them.

I hear the Saudis might be pulling out of golf. I wonder if boxing may be next.

AJ must’ve known he was going to be called out, he was sitting at ringside.

Maybe AJ likes watching boxing live so much he sat ringside for two such obviously crap fights against bums involving his career rivals, Wilder and Fury.

As a middle-aged man with no public profile that would've got my arse handed to me by anyone half decent even when I was young and taking my boxing training seriously, I'd be very happy sitting in his seat to watching a fight as a fan.

I cannot begin to relate to someone on such a pedestal as Anthony Joshua.

He knows who he is, he hasn't declared retirement, he's an active fighter and he definitely knows that these guys winning have been connected to his name for years.

I don't give a fornicate about Turki, but when Fury and Wilder both shouted his name he should've acknowledged them both as a fight that would've made him sacks of cash or he shouldn't have been there at all.

Turki is a weirdo. I’m not surprised.

But it shows how shallow the likes of Hearn and Warren are.

I’d say it was quite embarrassing for Turki.

Standing there and pointing like the ultimate paymaster - who always get what he demands.

I’m glad AJ refused.

Of course he knew, but there are ways to do it, and keep it semi respectful

Yeah but it’s the Fury’s we are talking about, they aren’t exactly tactful at the best of times lol

Yeah I thought it was disrespectful in the sense that these sorts of pre-fight ‘surprise announcements’ and post-fight callouts are blatantly agreed behind the scenes beforehand in 99.9% of cases, whereas this time it seemed Turki was just trying to get Joshua to do his bidding immediately. Even for someone as truly humble as AJ, that must be annoying, definitely can’t blame him for not playing the game.

Come on... Please...

This is all just talk "Roll up, roll up... for the fight of the century!"

It's just a part of the fun. AJ is a grown man and I'm sure both fighters were laughing on the inside.

Yep.
And he puts people who call him out in jail.
That's the ego of the guy. A nasty little piece of work.

Listen no matter how you try to justify it the Saudi rat was disrespectful and demanding aj get in the ring in that manner was out of order.
