Manny Pacquiao on Floyd Mayweather Jnr rematch: ‘The fight is on’
Manny Pacquiao told Boxing Scene on Tuesday that Floyd Mayweather Jnr has formally agreed that their September 19 rematch will be a bona fide professional match, imperiling Mayweather’s cherished unblemished record.
“The fight is on,” Pacquiao texted Boxing Scene after Mayweather told reporters in late March that the Netflix-streamed bout at The Sphere in Las Vegas would be an exhibition, with venue arrangements still unfinalized.
In fact, argued the Pacquiao camp, Mayweather, 50-0 (27 KOs), had signed multiple contracts for the fight to be a legitimate professional bout, and had even taken cash advances on the agreements.
Jas Mathur, the president of Pacquiao’s MP Promotions, told “Inside the Ring” on Monday that Mayweather faced an end-of-business Tuesday deadline to confirm he was participating in a pro fight or risk repercussions from Pacquiao, Netflix and others.
Pacquiao urged Mayweather to drop the gamesmanship in a recent interview with Boxing Scene.
“You need to honor your commitment,” said Pacquiao, 62-8-3 (39 KOs). “This time, there’s no reason for alibis or excuses.”
Mayweather, 49, defeated Pacquiao by unanimous decision in their first clash, the long-delayed 2015 bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas that still stands as the richest prizefight in history.
Pacquiao, 47, returned to the professional ring in impressive fashion last year, fighting then-WBC welterweight titleholder Mario Barrios to a draw, reviving talk of another showdown with the famously fit Mayweather.
Pacquiao has spent April promoting the event, appearing at multiple sporting events, including throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium and speaking to reporters, including Boxing Scene.
Pacquiao told Boxing Scene at a dinner last week that participating in a high-stakes fight so recently and coming to the fight completely healthy this time, after fighting in 2015 with an injured right shoulder, is “to my advantage because I worked so hard, I had that championship fight. [The Mayweather bout is a] definite victory.”

After recent reports of a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao came into serious doubt, Pacquiao has spoken out to express his confidence that the sequel will in fact take place. Pacquiao most notably says his confidence stems from the fact that both fighters have a signed contract with Netflix, with both also taking advance money on the bout.
“We both signed the contract and we both got our advance on our purses, so there’s no way we’re going to cancel this fight,” Pacquiao told ESPN on Monday. “Even with our first fight, he’s a lot do deal with, but the fight happened.”
Pacquiao continue on to say that after Mayweather came out to publicly say the fight was intended as an exhibition, he immediately went to seek clarification from his team and knows that they’ve assuredly penned a deal for a legit, professional match. With that in mind, Pacquiao doesn’t really understand Mayweather’s attempt to spin it any other way but the sides have since been in contact with one another since, and are working towards resolving that aspect.
In a segment on with Ring Magazine, Pacquiao also just chalked up Mayweather’s insistence on it not being a professional fight due to him being scared of losing his undefeated record which would undermine his earning potential on the exhibition market.
“I think he’s scared of losing because that’s his leverage to go around and have exhibitions because of his undefeated record. But if that record were ruined, what else can he leverage to go around and have exhibition match?”
For now, Pacquiao says he’s excited to rematch Mayweather as The Sphere, on Netflix, in front of what he expects to be an even bigger audience this time around.

Speaking with ProBox TV, Pugmire recalled his conversation with the Filipino and reported his understanding that Mayweather has agreed to a professional contest.
“Pacquiao reached out to me [on Tuesday] – we talked on WhatsApp, actually – and he said: ‘The fight is on. Floyd has come to the table; everything’s fine. We’re good to go’.

IRS alerts Mayweather about passport revocation, jeopardizing exhibitions
Floyd Mayweather’s scheduled June 27 exhibition vs. kickboxer Mike Zambidis in Athens, Greece, is in jeopardy after the IRS notified him of its intention to revoke his U.S. passport, according to documents reviewed by The Ring.
The IRS informed Mayweather of its intention to notify the Department of State in late March, nearly a month before the boxing legend officially announced the exhibition with the Greek kickboxer on April 23.
The IRS explained to Mayweather that the passport action is related to an unresolved seriously delinquent tax debt.
This comes against the backdrop of the back-and-forth negotiations between Mayweather and his rival, Manny Pacquiao, for a planned Sept. 19 rematch at The Sphere in Las Vegas.
Netflix announced the event on Feb. 23 as a professional fight that would count on their records, a return bout more than 11 years after their historic first fight in May 2015.
On March 28, Mayweather claimed it was an exhibition rather than a professional fight and said the venue was undecided. The Ring, however, reviewed documents signed by Mayweather that state it’s a professional fight rather than an exhibition that would take place at The Sphere.
On the April 13 episode of “Inside The Ring,” Pacquiao appeared on set and said, “I wouldn’t fight an exhibition. It’s either a real fight or nothing.”
According to multiple sources, sides for Mayweather and Pacquiao remain engaged in negotiations to finalize the event as a real fight. Sources said the venue will now shift to either MGM Grand Garden Arena or T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather held a press conference Thursday in Las Vegas at the Mayweather Boxing Club to officially announce his exhibition against Greek kickboxer Mike Zambidis on June 27 in Athens.
In addition to promoting the match, two pressing topics Mayweather addressed were his planned fight against Manny Pacquiao and a recent run of unfavorable headlines suggesting he’s in financial trouble.
Mayweather, 49, announced his professional comeback following a nine-year retirement February 20, and three days later, Netflix announced that he’d be facing Pacquiao in a rematch September 19 at Sphere in Las Vegas.
However, the fight has been on the ropes ever since Mayweather said on March 28 that the meeting was an exhibition and not a sanctioned fight, and that the location was up in the air.
“At this particular time, I truly believe that, you know, everybody is gonna want to ask questions about the Pacquiao fight,” said Mayweather.
“We have a lot of new companies, a lot of new faces, and Netflix, I truly believe that we'll get this done. I think we're almost at the finish line to finish the Pacquiao fight. Eventually, I think within the next 48 hours, the Pacquiao fight should be done.”
Exactly when and where the fight will be staged remains to be seen. On Monday, it was announced that the rock band Eagles will now occupy the Sphere on September 19.
After both fighters had already received advance payments, Pacquiao and his team said on the April 13 episode of Inside The Ring that neither the Filipino icon nor Netflix was interested in an exhibition, and that the self-proclaimed GOAT Mayweather was afraid of losing as an April 14 deadline loomed to salvage the fight.
Mayweather then talked generally in regard to how he’s been in constant headlines of late, especially as reports suggest that he’s in financial trouble after earning an estimated $1.15 billion during his undefeated Hall of Fame career.
The IRS filed a $7.3 million lien against Mayweather in March for unpaid taxes in 2018 and 2023. In February, Mayweather sued former broadcast partner Showtime, alleging $340 million in misappropriated funds. Mayweather is also the defendant for several complaints alleging unpaid tabs for jewelry, luxury apartment rentals and private jet services.
On Tuesday, Mayweather dropped a $100 million defamation lawsuit against Business Insider.
“I just want to say thank you to the media,” said Mayweather. “Even though I'm not really on social media, because most of the time I'm at home spending time building generational wealth, helping my children, helping my grandson.
“But just to be able to stay relevant, a part of it is the media. Whether you write a good story or a bad story, you're keeping me relevant. When you keep a guy relevant, the money still flows in. So thank you.
“Negative stories always go a lot further than positive stories. A lie will always go further than the truth. My whole goal is to always stay positive, continue to work hard, and continue to push the next generation to be great, teach them the way, and show them how they should move.”
Mayweather then moved on to build buzz for his exhibition abroad against Zambidis, one week after it was revealed that the IRS had notified Mayweather of its intention to revoke his United States passport.
“It’s great to be able to travel the world, display my skills, and let the people see my artwork, entertain them, and give the people what they want to see, and that's excitement,” said Mayweather.
“Whether it’s an exhibition or a real competition in a sanctioned fight, people still want to be entertained. I took care of my body, and I took my career seriously so that I'm still able to compete 30 years later.
“My job is to go out there and do what I do best.”
Mayweather plans to have an active 2026, including an announced exhibition against Mike Tyson in the Congo. But the originally planned date for April has passed, and very few details have been revealed in recent months.

Less than 24 hours ago, both Pacquiao and an official close to negotiations told BS the bout – which had been shifted off September 19 at The Sphere in Las Vegas – was moving to September 26, most likely at MGM Grand.
Yet with T-Mobile Arena offering greater overall and suite-seating capacity, and Netflix boasting prior success with Friday night fight cards topped last year by Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano and Anthony Joshua-Jake Paul, the final move was struck.
“It’s all about the finances and how you can scale the venue for a maximum gate,” said one of the officials who confirmed on Friday the final date and site switch first reported by The Ring Magazine.
While Mayweather adores MGM Grand and fought there 12 consecutive times from his 2007 triumph over Oscar De La Hoya to his final bout against a former boxing titleholder in 2015 versus Andre Berto, he did fight former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor at T-Mobile Arena in 2017.
Mayweather-Pacquiao I, the richest prizefight in history, was also staged at MGM Grand in 2015.
The lengthy wait for that first fight has been mirrored on a lesser scale with the rematch, after Mayweather told reporters in late March the bout would be an exhibition and not count as a loss on his 50-0 record if Pacquiao defeated him.
Multiple signed contracts forced Mayweather to concede it would indeed be a professional fight, exposing him at age 49 to his first career loss against Pacquiao, 47, who fought then-WBC welterweight belt holder Mario Barrios to a draw at MGM Grand in July.
Pacquiao has fought at T-Mobile Arena once, losing a welterweight title fight to Yordenis Ugas in 2021.
MGM is the co-owner and operator of T-Mobile Arena.

Floyd Mayweather vs Mike Zambidis exhibition picked up by DAZN
Floyd Mayweather’s Athens exhibition with Mike Zambidis will stream on DAZN
Floyd Mayweather will return, kinda, in an exhibition matchup on June 27 against kickboxer Mike Zambidis, and DAZN have picked up the event, meaning you can watch through the service you almost certainly already have as a boxing fan in 2026.
The exhibition will take place in Athens, Greece, giving Zambidis home advantage for something that probably won’t have an announced winner.
Mayweather turned 49 in February and hasn’t had an official fight since 2017, when he beat Conor McGregor. His last real bout against a legitimate pro boxer came in September 2015, when he beat Andre Berto. He’s had many exhibitions in recent years, but has made bigger headlines from his ongoing financial issues.
Zambidis turns 46 in mid-July and has a career kickboxing record of 157-24. Like Mayweather, he hasn’t really been an active fighter in over a decade.
Mayweather tentatively has his actual return to pro boxing scheduled for September in a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, which would air on Netflix.
That fight was meant to be at The Sphere, but now won’t be, as the venue has instead booked an Eagles residency, which is probably smart on the venue’s end, because you can be sure the Eagles will actually be there. Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 was also originally slated for September 19, but recent word is it may be pushed back six or seven days to September 25 or 26.

A few things I've learned in reading the CSI suit (34 pages) vs. Floyd and speaking to those involved -- Netflix is out of the Floyd-Manny rematch. They want the fight in September but Floyd's contract with CSI is clear the Tyson fight must come first and that is contemplated for September. Floyd's people also sent CSI a termination letter claiming their deal is void even though he has received more than $4.5M in advances. #boxing

The news comes just days after ESPN revealed that Mayweather (50-0, 27 KO) got slapped with felony charges over a bad check.
Mayweather announced a May exhibition against Tyson last September, then followed up by revealing a September rematch with “Pac-Man” in February. Less than two weeks later, he added a June meeting with K-1 kickboxing vet Zambidis to the lineup.
Things swiftly went off the rails. Pacquiao and Mayweather gave conflicting reports as to whether their meeting would be an exhibition or professional match, while few details emerged about the Tyson fight before “Iron” wound up breaking his hand 10 days before fight night.
Per the report, things were similarly chaotic behind the scenes. CSI alleges that they paid $4.5 million for the rights to both the Tyson and Pacquiao bouts, only for Mayweather to go behind their backs, set up the Zambidis bout with a separate promoter, and “secretly [sign] a separate deal with another company to stream the fight with Pacquiao on Netflix from the Sphere in Las Vegas.”

Floyd Mayweather hit with lawsuit over Tyson, Pacquiao bouts
The producer of two upcoming Floyd Mayweather fights filed a lawsuit in federal court Thursday, suing the star boxer for breach of contract while also attempting to stop his June 27 fight against Mike Zambidis next weekend in Greece, according to court records.
CSI Sports Events alleges in the suit that Mayweather breached his contract with the company when he agreed to fight Zambidis. CSI was contracted to produce Mayweather's exhibition fight against Mike Tyson as well as his professional bout against Manny Pacquiao later this year.
The suit, filed in the Southern District of New York on Thursday, asked the court to place a permanent injunction on Mayweather's fight against Zambidis because it breaches Mayweather's CSI deal. Judd Burstein, the attorney for CSI, told ESPN that he plans to file an emergency injunction application in federal court to try to stop the fight.
CSI is asking for $6.65 million in restitution from Mayweather and Frist Apex Ventures, the co-defendant in the case that CSI said acted as Mayweather's representative.
Messages left with Mayweather's representation were not immediately returned to ESPN.
The suit claims CSI and Frist Apex agreed to a deal on Aug. 10, 2025, for a Tyson-Mayweather fight that would take place in the spring of 2026. The suit claims Frist Apex had the authority to enter the deal on Mayweather's behalf. In a separate civil case, Mayweather is suing Frist Apex for aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty.
The CSI suit claims it agreed to pay Mayweather $14 million to fight Tyson, including a $2 million advance. According to the suit, the parties then signed a separate exclusive agreement in November 2025 for his fight after Tyson, where Mayweather would receive $35 million if Pacquiao was the opponent and 20% of any pay-per-view revenue. If the fight ended up not on PPV, Mayweather would receive "a $50 million buyout." If Pacquiao were unavailable, Mayweather would fight a different opponent for $20 million, along with other bonuses.
The suit then alleges Mayweather refused to tweet an announcement of his return to boxing in November 2025 -- through his then-business manager, Jona Rechnitz -- because "he was in the process of selling those very same rights to a third party."
CSI claims Mayweather entered into an agreement in December 2025 with another company, EverWonder, for the Pacquiao fight on Netflix for $24.75 million, including a $2.75 million advance and the potential for a $3.75 million bonus.
CSI and EverWonder then began working out a solution to the potential Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, according to the suit.
"We were prepared to go forward," Burstein said. "Tyson would go first, and CSI would allow, Pacquiao was going to go forward in the fall in the Sphere televised by Netflix with CSI getting full billing rights."
As part of CSI's deal with EverWonder, Frist Apex needed to repay an advance and Mayweather agreed to give CSI exclusive rights to the fight after Pacquiao, Burstein said. Frist Apex never repaid the advance, Burstein said.
As EverWonder negotiations took place, the suit claims CSI learned about a third fight agreement for Mayweather-Zambidis. The suit claims the Zambidis fight "would violate" CSI's exclusive rights with Mayweather.
The suit claims Mayweather then changed business managers from Rechnitz to Walter Jordon and that Jordon told CSI the Tyson fight would occur before the Zambidis fight. Mayweather then went through medical testing for the Tyson fight, according to the suit, and then asked for $150,000 in cash, which Burstein said CSI paid and that Mayweather signed the receipt.
The following day, the suit alleges, Mayweather announced he was fighting Zambidis despite CSI not agreeing to let that fight occur, Burstein said. In May, Tyson announced that he injured his hand and the scheduled May 30 fight needed to be postponed. The contract allowed for a six-month timeframe to reschedule the Tyson fight before an interim fight would be allowed. This also made the Zambidis fight Mayweather's return fight, which would also allegedly violate agreements with CSI.
The suit claims Mayweather attempted to terminate his contract with CSI on June 9 after he allegedly had breached his contract.
The CSI lawsuit is the latest in a litany of legal issues for Mayweather. He faces two felony charges for allegedly writing a bad check for a $200,000 watch in Las Vegas and has civil suits against him in four states with varying allegations, including nonpayment for goods and services. He also has a $7.2 million IRS lien against him for unpaid taxes.
As a plaintiff, Mayweather is suing Showtime, which used to televise his fights, for $340 million along with the suit against Rechnitz and Fritz Apex for $175 million, alleging fraud and aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty in both cases.
The producer of two upcoming Floyd Mayweather fights filed a lawsuit in federal court Thursday, suing the star boxer for breach of contract while also attempting to stop his June 27 fight against Mike Zambidis next weekend in Greece, according to court records.
CSI Sports Events alleges in the suit that Mayweather breached his contract with the company when he agreed to fight Zambidis. CSI was contracted to produce Mayweather's exhibition fight against Mike Tyson as well as his professional bout against Manny Pacquiao later this year.
The suit, filed in the Southern District of New York on Thursday, asked the court to place a permanent injunction on Mayweather's fight against Zambidis because it breaches Mayweather's CSI deal. Judd Burstein, the attorney for CSI, told ESPN that he plans to file an emergency injunction application in federal court to try to stop the fight.
CSI is asking for $6.65 million in restitution from Mayweather and Frist Apex Ventures, the co-defendant in the case that CSI said acted as Mayweather's representative.
Messages left with Mayweather's representation were not immediately returned to ESPN.
The suit claims CSI and Frist Apex agreed to a deal on Aug. 10, 2025, for a Tyson-Mayweather fight that would take place in the spring of 2026. The suit claims Frist Apex had the authority to enter the deal on Mayweather's behalf. In a separate civil case, Mayweather is suing Frist Apex for aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty.
The CSI suit claims it agreed to pay Mayweather $14 million to fight Tyson, including a $2 million advance. According to the suit, the parties then signed a separate exclusive agreement in November 2025 for his fight after Tyson, where Mayweather would receive $35 million if Pacquiao was the opponent and 20% of any pay-per-view revenue. If the fight ended up not on PPV, Mayweather would receive "a $50 million buyout." If Pacquiao were unavailable, Mayweather would fight a different opponent for $20 million, along with other bonuses.
The suit then alleges Mayweather refused to tweet an announcement of his return to boxing in November 2025 -- through his then-business manager, Jona Rechnitz -- because "he was in the process of selling those very same rights to a third party."
CSI claims Mayweather entered into an agreement in December 2025 with another company, EverWonder, for the Pacquiao fight on Netflix for $24.75 million, including a $2.75 million advance and the potential for a $3.75 million bonus.
CSI and EverWonder then began working out a solution to the potential Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, according to the suit.
"We were prepared to go forward," Burstein said. "Tyson would go first, and CSI would allow, Pacquiao was going to go forward in the fall in the Sphere televised by Netflix with CSI getting full billing rights."
As part of CSI's deal with EverWonder, Frist Apex needed to repay an advance and Mayweather agreed to give CSI exclusive rights to the fight after Pacquiao, Burstein said. Frist Apex never repaid the advance, Burstein said.
As EverWonder negotiations took place, the suit claims CSI learned about a third fight agreement for Mayweather-Zambidis. The suit claims the Zambidis fight "would violate" CSI's exclusive rights with Mayweather.
The suit claims Mayweather then changed business managers from Rechnitz to Walter Jordon and that Jordon told CSI the Tyson fight would occur before the Zambidis fight. Mayweather then went through medical testing for the Tyson fight, according to the suit, and then asked for $150,000 in cash, which Burstein said CSI paid and that Mayweather signed the receipt.
The following day, the suit alleges, Mayweather announced he was fighting Zambidis despite CSI not agreeing to let that fight occur, Burstein said. In May, Tyson announced that he injured his hand and the scheduled May 30 fight needed to be postponed. The contract allowed for a six-month timeframe to reschedule the Tyson fight before an interim fight would be allowed. This also made the Zambidis fight Mayweather's return fight, which would also allegedly violate agreements with CSI.
The suit claims Mayweather attempted to terminate his contract with CSI on June 9 after he allegedly had breached his contract.
The CSI lawsuit is the latest in a litany of legal issues for Mayweather. He faces two felony charges for allegedly writing a bad check for a $200,000 watch in Las Vegas and has civil suits against him in four states with varying allegations, including nonpayment for goods and services. He also has a $7.2 million IRS lien against him for unpaid taxes.
As a plaintiff, Mayweather is suing Showtime, which used to televise his fights, for $340 million along with the suit against Rechnitz and Fritz Apex for $175 million, alleging fraud and aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty in both cases.

According to the court’s online records the case was initially filed on April 27 followed by a warrant for Mayweather’s arrest issued on April 30. That was changed the same day to a summons to appear in court, which his attorney appeared at on Monday.
According to the complaint, Mayweather wrote a check for $200,000 to Gold and Beyond, a high-end Las Vegas resale boutique, on Dec. 31, 2024, but the Wells Fargo account he wrote the check on had insufficient funds.
According to the ESPN report, the theft charge claims Mayweather wrote the check “in exchange for obtaining property or services” while “knowing that the check would not be paid when presented.” The complaint alleges Mayweather did this “knowingly, feloniously, and without lawful authority.”
Mayweather, 49, could face one to four years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine plus restitution costs if found guilty on the fraud charge. The felony theft charge carries a prison terms of one to 20 years and up to $15,000 in fines if he is found guilty.
The case is the latest in a series of Mayweather’s problems, including deep financial issues despite having grossed approximately $1.2 billion during his 1996 to 2017 career, which he plans to resume this fall in an effort to fight his way out of debt.
The Internal Revenue Service in March levied a $7.2 million tax lien against Mayweather for unpaid taxes in 2018 and 2023.
Mayweather also has been ordered to pay $1 million in back child support after fathering a child with one of the dancers at his now-shuttered Las Vegas strip club.
He also faces various civil suits alleging a trail of unpaid bills for apartment rentals, private jet service and jewellery.

Before that Mayweather is scheduled for a six-round exhibition bout against retired Greek kickboxer Mike Zambidis on June 27 at Telekom Center in Athens, Greece, in a DAZN pay-per-view headliner event that will feature 18 fights across boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and freestyle wrestling.
He has also signed for an exhibition bout against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, but that event has been delayed and has no official date set other than an update from the organizers in May that said it would move from this spring to the fall because Tyson was recovering from a broken hand.

Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs), a five-division champion, former longtime pound-for-pound king and an International Boxing Hall of Famer, has participated in various exhibitions during his retirement but is so in need of money he has agreed to risk the undefeated record that means to much to him in an official fight/rematch with rival Manny Pacquiao on Sept. 25 in Las Vegas, which Netflix plans to stream.
Before that Mayweather is scheduled for a six-round exhibition bout against retired Greek kickboxer Mike Zambidis on June 27 at Telekom Center in Athens, Greece, in a DAZN pay-per-view headliner event that will feature 18 fights across boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and freestyle wrestling.
He has also signed for an exhibition bout against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, but that event has been delayed and has no official date set other than an update from the organizers in May that said it would move from this spring to the fall because Tyson was recovering from a broken hand.

Will Floyd Mayweather box Mike Zambidis this Saturday in Greece? That’s still up in the air, but one thing is for sure: his much hyped rematch against Manny Pacquiao will not happen in 2026 as originally planned.
Mayweather has been hit with a tsunami of bad news over the past several months. “Money” launched several lawsuits this year alleging past partners and business associates bilked him out of hundreds of millions of dollars. At the same time, he’s facing felony charges for writing bad checks to the tune of $200,000 in Nevada. And now his latest exhibition bout against former kickboxing champion Zambidis set for June 27th is in jeopardy after promoters CSI filed a legal injunction against the event.
CSI says Mayweather signed a contract with them to fight both Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao, with the deal stating that Floyd’s next fight must be against Tyson. They’ve gone and served everyone associated with the Mayweather vs. Zambidis fight from Mayweather to broadcaster DAZN to Ticketmaster for selling tickets. On Wednesday there was an emergency hearing to determine if the injunction would be granted, and while no decision has been made by the judge yet, there was some interesting news.
Boxing reporter Dan Rafael recorded the hearing and broke down some of the more salient points regarding Floyd’s schedule for the rest of the year. The biggest note: the Manny Pacquiao fight announced for September is delayed until next year.
“Pacquiao fight is NOT happening in September,” Rafael tweeted. “The lawyers said the date for Tyson exhibition is September 12 if they work things out with Floyd. Pacquiao would be moved to January if it happens.”
Since the beginning of this situation, we’ve asked why Floyd Mayweather continues to do everything the hard way. The easiest way to sort out these money issues is to go ahead with the Tyson and Mayweather fights, fights that will make him massive amounts of money. Fight that he signed legally binding agreements to compete in. Immediately after signing, he started flip-flopping on conditions for the Mayweather fight. The Tyson fight has also been extremely vaporous.
The Zambidis fight always seemed like an odd duck stuffed into the schedule between Tyson and Pacquiao, but fits the bill for the kind of fight that Floyd actually shows up for: one against a random opponent with no chance in a contest that no one asked for. Zambidis is another John Gotti III, Aaron Chalmers, or Don Moore. This time, though, the promoters of the big fights that people care about aren’t letting Mayweather walk away from them.
We’ll find out today (Thursday, June 25th) at 12 p.m. noon what the judge has decided and whther Mayweather vs. Zambidis goes ahead.

Mayweather vs Tyson isn't a fight it's a nonsensical Exhibition. Neither man deserves a penny for it in my opinion.
