I mean. Lot of comments saying Cameron trilogy.
I reckon it was MVP that tried to make Taylor-Tousey.

Can't see it, too much of a risk for her to bow out on a loss.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026, 12:28 I mean. Lot of comments saying Cameron trilogy.

It'd almost be her karma to the Boxing Gods if she went out on a loss. Her #1 P4P status is owed to a lot of robberies. That's why she's not P4P #1 among the ladies to me.rd350lc wrote: ↑18 Apr 2026, 02:42Can't see it, too much of a risk for her to bow out on a loss.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑16 Apr 2026, 12:28 I mean. Totally agree, should be 3 further losses at least on her record and one of the dirtiest fighters you'll ever see.gilgamesh wrote: ↑18 Apr 2026, 02:44It'd almost be her karma to the Boxing Gods if she went out on a loss. Green Day – Eddie Hearn Gives Exciting Katie Taylor Undercard Update
Eddie Hearn is ready to paint Croke Park green.
The Essex fight maker plans to headline Katie Taylor at the Jones’ Road venue on the first weekend in September, and while the Irish sporting great takes centre stage, there will have to be a supporting cast.
The Matchroom boss has made it clear that the undercard will have a strong Irish feel.
Hearn says what promises to be an historic event will be built as a celebration of Irish boxing, with local fighters front and centre on what is already being billed as one of the biggest nights in the sport’s history on these shores.
“I think everybody who fights on that undercard will either be Irish or have a very strong Irish connection,” Hearn said when speaking to IFL TV.
“It’s such a huge opportunity for Irish fighters. Imagine the chance to fight at Croke Park in front of that kind of crowd,” he added.
“It’s a moment that will stay with people for the rest of their life. It’s so historic.”
While no bouts have been confirmed, the promoter hinted that discussions are already underway, with a willingness to match Irish fighters in meaningful fights rather than simply offering showcase slots.
One name firmly in the frame is Dublin heavyweight Thomas Carty, who Hearn suggested could feature in a significant clash on the bill, possibly against Johnny Fisher.
“That’s a fight that could possibly work,” he said when discussing potential matchups.
“I think Thomas Carty in a big fight of any nature… that’s what you want on a card like this.”
The comments suggest Matchroom are aiming to strike a balance between opportunity and competitiveness—using the scale of the event to push fighters into career-enhancing bouts.
“We’ll be looking at all Irish fighters, looking to give them an opportunity to be part of the card,” he explained.

Ronda rousey or Kellie Harrington… this is a spectical no need to fight Caroline… be horrific to lose… (mabey she would to Kellie but at least it would be an epic handover)…

It could also be Rousey's first conqueror Holly Holm.gregregegg wrote: ↑18 May 2026, 02:00 Ronda rousey or Kellie Harrington… this is a spectical no need to fight Caroline… be horrific to lose… (mabey she would to Kellie but at least it would be an epic handover)…

Retirement likely for Katie Taylor unless Croke Park farewell confirmed
Katie Taylor, one of the greatest of all fighters, will likely never box again if her desire to say goodbye at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, does not occur.
Her promoter Eddie Hearn, who changed the face of women’s boxing when he signed her on professional terms in 2016, has made no secret of his wish to host that farewell but admitted to Boxing Scene that, though “inching closer”, “it’s not done yet”.
Taylor, 39 years old and from Bray, Ireland, boasts a 25-1 (6 KOs) record and is a former two-weight undisputed champion. She still holds the WBA, IBF and WBA titles at junior welterweight but relinquished the WBC crown, citing her personal life when required to make a mandatory defense. In her most recent contest, she secured superiority over Amanda Serrano in July last year.
Taylor has always wanted to fight at Croke Park which can accommodate 80,000 fans. He hopes a date can be secured in August or September.
Matchroom’s Frank Smith, Hearn’s right-hand man, was back in Ireland for further talks last week.
“We’re really moving in the right direction to try and get that done,” said Hearn. “All the pressure’s on from Katie, from the country, and I really want to make it happen because I’d love to be a part of it. I think it’d be unbelievable.”
Taylor has achieved so much in her amateur and professional careers. So much so, Hearn reckoned, that anything less than a grandstand finish in her nation’s stadium would simply mean the end.
“Yes, I think so. I don’t see a fight again if it’s not Croke Park,” Hearn said.
The promoter had previously told Sky Sports that “there’s a load of options” regarding a potential opponent..
“Until we’re locked in [with the event, there will be no news,” he confirmed to Boxing Scene. “I mean, we’ve still got 16 weeks, something like that. She’s got about three mandatories, so we’ll have to see.”

I did think that. But she’s like 50 isn’t she? Still a far more respectable boxing opponent than rousey I guess, just not as big. But yea that’s surely another possibility.gilgamesh wrote: ↑19 May 2026, 03:14It could also be Rousey's first conqueror Holly Holm.gregregegg wrote: ↑18 May 2026, 02:00 Ronda rousey or Kellie Harrington… this is a spectical no need to fight Caroline… be horrific to lose… (mabey she would to Kellie but at least it would be an epic handover)…

She's in her mid 40's and is scheduled to fight actually in a little less than 2 weeks.gregregegg wrote: ↑20 May 2026, 00:10I did think that. But she’s like 50 isn’t she? WBC suggest that Katie Taylor's next fight will come against Flora Pili
According to the WBC, Katie Taylor’s next and likely final fight will come against Flora Pili in a battle for that organization’s now vacant junior welterweight title. Being as though Taylor is already recognized as champion by the WBA, IBF and WBO, a scrap with Pili – tentatively set for Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland – would also gain ‘undisputed’ status.
Pili, 12-0 (2 KOs), ticks another box in that she’s in mandatory position with the IBF but she would enter a bout with Taylor as a huge underdog and largely unknown.
The Frenchwoman, 28, won the lightly regarded IBO title in her most recent bout, a 10-round points victory over Jelena Janiciijevic, but the jump to the 25-1 (6 KOs) Taylor is huge.
The WBC title is vacant due to beltholder Sandy Ryan stepping away from the sport to have a child.
“The WBC congratulates Sandy Ryan on her pregnancy and wishes her all the best. As champion in recess, she will always have the support of the WBC during this process,” the sanctioning body posted on social media.
“The vacant WBC super lightweight championship will be on the line when Katie Taylor faces Flora Pili.”
It had been reported by Chris Mannix that Croke Park, the 82,000-seater stadium in which Taylor has long wanted to fight, has been provisionally booked for September 5.
