Not really. But, I still believe that the Hitman would have beaten Carlos Palomino by decision. Palomino was very tough. He could take a big shot. But, Thomas Hearns was the better overall fighter. Palomino had the better chin.

If the Hitman that showed up to stop Cuevas, then he would outbox Palomino behind his quick left jabs and right hands from long range to take a decision.

I don't think Palomino really quite had the skills or the firepower to get to Hearns. He was a skilled enough fighter that he could've hung in there, and maybe taken a round or 2 in there when Hearns was getting his wind back or what have you, but I think for the most part Hearns would be patiently outboxing him from a distance with jabs, and right hands.
Always possible that Hearns detonates one of them right hands on your chin, and lays you out for the count, but I'd pick Palomino to hang in there for the distance for his toughness and ring savvy. He ain't winning the decision though.
