I'd love that fight.

It's probably a bit too early but I noticed that Whittaker beat Imam Khataev at the Japan Olympics in 2021.
Khataev fights June 4th, Ben on June 27th.
An Autumn bout between the two would be fantastic.

If I'm a promoter if they're both unbeaten I save an Olympic rematch for a Future Title bout, but I do like the matchup. Guys with Amateur history running it back as Pros is always an interesting story to a matchup.

I'd like to see Ben in with Lyndon Arthur.

Yeah, it's like his next two fights (one in the US, then one in Birmingham) are the wrong way around. Feels like one of the top domestic guys would be ideal next.

Personally, I think he'll be using that as motivation for future fights.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑19 Apr 2026, 23:41 khatiev, hutchinson.......theyd be good fights. wonder if ben will try to quit again next time hes in a tough fight

Was he unfit & looking for a way out or does he not have that inner warrior?

It's like what happened with Hopkins. Personally, I believe both were legit.Taansend wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 09:31That's the question.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑19 Apr 2026, 23:41 khatiev, hutchinson.......theyd be good fights. wonder if ben will try to quit again next time hes in a tough fight

For anyone with "World" Championship belts on their mind - like Ben - this is literally what the British title is for.
Proper 12 round fights with guys coming to win, at a slightly lower level.
Everything from Azeez to Buatsi/Yarde - 3-4 12 rounders of increasing difficulty and if he wins those he's ready..

Andy Lee said they'd be having a fight in the USA, then coming back here to take on a domestic fighter. I tend to believe Lee, so hope it's Willy, Yarde or someone like that.skanksta wrote: ↑22 Apr 2026, 11:14 For anyone with "World" Championship belts on their mind - like Ben - this is literally what the British title is for.
