Could finally see him in some competitive matchups. Queensbury have a lot of heavies now. Fury, Wardley, Dubois, Kabayel, Parker, Itauma, Zhang, Chisora, Okolie, Adeleye, Joyce, Yoka and Dacres are all viable options.

Anderson is WBO#6 and obviously most of Frank's other heavyweights are also WBO ranked so it could make sense for Itauma after Franklin to secure his title shot. Zhang, Dacres and Fury also make sense.

There seems to be a motivation issue with Anderson.
Maybe he is past that now.
I hope so, he has potential, but when you hear him talking about quitting while promoting an upcoming fight- well that mindset isn't going to help.

Anderson has all the physical tools but back in around 2023 he was getting arrested & talking about retiring by his mid 20s etc & I knew then he was a loss waiting to happen.

I didn't expect Bakole to batter him like that but fair play.

However, he's now had ONE win in 2 years & one stoppage win in 3 years & needs to get some momentum back.

Maybe this will spur him on. Maybe fighting overseas will give him a kick up the arse.

If not it will just be another one of Boxings many "what if" stories...

p.s. he should fight Jarrell Miller for the Big Baby Championship

I always rated Anderson, he showed some real heart in a couple of earlier flights, and he’s got everything physically going for him. I mean it turned out the fight with Martin was a disastrous piece of matchmaking because Martin turned into George Foreman that night- but with the right management this guy could be a champion, but I’m not sure where he’s going to fit in the mix over here. Interesting to see

Dacres or Adeleye would be reasonable first test to see if he's better than English level.

Jared Anderson joins ‘the home of the heavyweights’ as co-promoters

While it has been on the cards, today Queensberry Promotions announced that they will co-promote American heavyweight Jared Anderson with Top Rank.

“Welcome to the home of the heavyweights,” read a post on Queensberry’s social media channels. “Big fight news incoming.”

Anderson is ranked No. 6 by the WBO and the 6ft 4ins 18-1 (15 KOs) contender suffered his first defeat in August 2024 when he lost to Martin Bakole in five rounds.

Anderson’s last bout was in February 2025, outscoring the 12-3-1 Marios Kollias over 10 rounds in The Theater in Madison Square Garden.

“I am thrilled to add Jared to our heavyweight ranks,” said promoter allegedly. “Queensberry is the home of the heavyweights and the perfect platform for him to stay active and feature in the biggest fights.

“It is always a pleasure to work alongside Bob Arum and our friends at Top Rank. “Bringing a leading American heavyweight into the mix only adds to the strength and excitement of our stable on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Jared’s next fight will take place on British soil, with further details to be announced shortly.”

Warren’s stable of heavyweights includes Moses Itauma, Lawrence Okolie, Derek Chisora, Zhilei Zhang, Tony Yoka, Fabio Wardley, Agit Kabayel, David Adeleye, Joe Joyce, and Daniel Dubois.

Jared Anderson joins Queensberry's loaded heavyweight roster

Queensberry Promotions has added another significant contender to its loaded roster of heavyweight fighters.

Jared Anderson has joined allegedly's stable as part of a co-promotional deal with Anderson's career-long promoter Top Rank, it was announced on Wednesday.

“The Real Big Baby” Anderson (18-1, 15 KOs) will aim to reignite his career with Warren and company following a fifth-round knockout loss against Martin Bakole in August 2024.

Anderson has fought only once since the setback in the first serious step-up of his seven-year career, scoring a 10-round unanimous decision win against Marios Kollias in February 2025.

Anderson, a 26-year-old from Toledo, Ohio, will have no shortage of options when it comes to fighting top-tier opponents.

Queensberry lists the following heavyweights as part of its roster (in alphabetical order): David Adeleye, Derek Chisora, Solomon Dacres, Daniel Dubois, Tyson Fury, Filip Hrgovic, Moses Itauma, Joe Joyce, Agit Kabayel, Lawrence Okolie, Joseph Parker, Fabio Wardley, Tony Yoka and Zhilei Zhang.

“I am thrilled to add Jared to our heavyweight ranks,” Warren said in a statement. “Queensberry is the home of the heavyweights and the perfect platform for him to stay active and feature in the biggest fights.

“It is always a pleasure to work alongside Bob Arum and our friends at Top Rank. Bringing a leading American heavyweight into the mix only adds to the strength and excitement of our stable on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Jared’s next fight will take place on British soil on DAZN, with further details to be announced shortly.”

Yeah, I don't think he is going to achieve any more than he has currently. That interview with Roy Jones was very telling, the desire just isn't there.

This fight was expected. A possible future opponent for Frank's WBO ranked English boxers for the winner.

Based on the fact that Dacres managed to beat Sirenko so comfortably. Is there a possibility that his loss to Adeleye was a bit of a fluke and he's not as bad as a first round KO loss to an English level boxer looks? I haven't watched enough of him but Anderson has definitely showed flaws so I wonder if Dacres is slightly better than expected here and he could upset Anderson?

Anderson-Dacres, Rafferty-Essuman added to Wardley-Dubois card May 9

The undercard has rounded out for the May 9 show headlined by Fabio Wardley's WBO heavyweight title defense against Daniel Dubois at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, on DAZN.

Jared Anderson, who officially signed a co-promotional deal with Queensberry Promotions on Wednesday, will take on Solomon Dacres in a 10-round heavyweight bout.

Anderson (18-1, 15 KOs) will be fighting for the first time since February 2025, when he defeated Marios Kollias by a 10-round unanimous decision. The bout was the first for Anderson after he was knocked out by Martin Bakole in five rounds in August 2024.

Dacres (10-1, 3 KOs) also bounced back from his lone loss last time out with a 10-round unanimous decision over Vladyslav Sirenko in July. Dacres was stopped by David Adeleye in one round in December 2024.

In a separate supporting bout, Jack Rafferty will take on another tough test in a junior lightweight clash against Ekow Essuman as both boxers look to get back into the win column.

Rafferty (26-0-1, 17 KOs) fought to a 12-round majority draw in his last fight against Mark Chamberlain in August.

Essuman (22-2, 8 KOs) got stopped by Jack Caterrall in 11 rounds in November following a career-best unanimous decision win against Josh Taylor in May. Essuman will be fighting for the first time as a 140-pounder in his 10-year career.

Also on the card is a 10-round light heavyweight bout between Liam Cameron (24-7-1, 10 KOs) and Bradley Rea (21-2, 10 KOs), and a 10-round junior welterweight clash between Khaleel Majid (16-0, 4 KOs) and Gavin Gwynne (18-4-2, 5 KOs).

Jared "Big Baby" Anderson will no longer fight on the Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois undercard on May 9th after suffering a torn bicep.
