Re: Up and Comers
I just watched Tucker vs Smith, on youtube, who was 11-1 going into that bout.
He(Smith) had good head movement early on, but Tucker kept the pressure on nonstop,
And Smith therefore eventually broke down, prompting the ref to wave it off, due to Smith Essentially becoming a
Human punching bag for Tucker.
Yeah, my take on Tucker isn't clear cut at this point. He's obviously a volume puncher.
Thrives on an aggressive take charge approach/style. His punching power is decent.
Meaning, he's not a weak puncher, but not a hard puncher either. He relies on conditioning,
For having the ability to keep throwing punches in bunches. A decent action brawler for certain.
As to what exact level he is overall, it's too tricky at this point in time to exactly determine.
He's definitely a work in progress. The potential is there but he needs to watch out for hard hitting counter punchers.
Smith was just in there to survive and collect a paycheck. A decent tune up showcase opponent for a prospect,
But eventually they're gonna have to give Tucker a better test. I'd love to see him fight Edigius Kavialkus soon.(Spelling ?)
He's that Russian ? Or Ukranian ? Brawler that managed to briefly deck Crawford.
That'd make for an entertaining scrap I think. Unless Edigius moved up in weight by now.

Him and Kasir Goldston debutet two years ago on top rank undercard as a primising young prospects. Too early to say. They need tough fights to improve. Goldston fought to draw and did not fought since that

Three Years later on the Ennis v Zayas undercard
16-1 Jahi Tucker
16-1 Jahi Tucker
Re: Up and Comers
The fight against Cedeno is a step up but not a very large one, in my opinion. Tucker should - and that's the key word - handle the Dominican, but then he needs a serious upgrade in competition. If not, he may just end up as one of those boxers who permanently resides at the back end of the top 25 without ever making a concerted effort to reach for a higher level.

euri cedeno is a very talented , former olympic quarterfinalist. only blemish was a draw where he hardly showed up, but looked a lot more focused since. would not be surprised at all if he beat tucker
Re: Up and Comers
Wait, is Cedeno underdog here? Because he should be not. He will win this IMO and maybe by stoppage
