FAO Turki Al-Sheikh

Post by keithmoonhangover »

YE, if you really want to do something incredible, something that has never been down before........

Hold the Fury-Joshua fight at Silverstone, which has accommodated 500,000 fans for F1 before, so the logistics are there to cope with the event.
Build a temporary stadium using shipping containers that can be moved and used in other locations, just like Stadium 974 from the Qatari world cup.
Build the stadium to seat 250,000 people.
The current world record attendance for boxing is 132,247.
You'll be raising the bar so high that no one will ever beat it.
I'll buy the first ticket, so you'll only need to sell 249,999 more.
You have deep pockets.
You love boxing.
Over to you.

Is there really that much interest in this fight? :maybe:
These ones they wait until both guys are past their best never turn out to be any good. Some recent examples being:
Bellew vs Haye
Brook vs Kahn
Pac vs Mayweather

The undercards are always crap as well because the two faded stars gobble up all the money.
I regret paying for them and won't do it again. Both have been beaten at the top level and neither have any titles.

I think there is that much interest. Whether it loves up to the hype is another thing all together.

This format has been tried and tested for 100 years. There is always a new market to exploit.

Fans need to make a stand and say no.
They are always crap fights, crap cards, and cringe buildups to just another payday for two already super rich tossers.

How can you possibly watch the fight properly at these massive venues where you are a million miles away?

Live broadcast for me.

Yep, it's bad enough towards the back of a 20,000 seater arena, let alone a 90,000 seater stadium.

We all admire , idolize , and respect fighters / boxers because they have big balls and put them on the line especielly yhe guys who say mine are the biggest i am the best then fight the best to prove it . .These two DID,NT they ducked and dived from each other for 10 years . Now way past there best they want colosal amounts of money for there retirement funds . So will i watch it COURSE I WILL , but would i pay out for hotels . Transport , and big ticket prices NO WAY would i buy the ppv only if the stream broke down its years too late . So has far has i,m concerned just a money grab by two way past it fighters , pretty muck like Mayweather v Paccy

It takes ages to get in and out of Silverstone in heavy traffic, and only half works on F1 weekends cos so many punters arrive staggered for camping.

Good location otherwise though.

If Turki’s paying there might be some decent ones on there.

Has Lowe retired? He’s not fought since late 24. I assumed he had as I’d expect him to pop up on the Makh undercard

Oh gawd that would be gruelling.
You could feel the CTE gathering with every unblocked punch. Chisora is already at extremely high risk of becoming another sad statistic.
