Yaser Al Ghena vs. Bradley Townsend | DAZN - 3 May 2026
Sam Noakes comeback fight confirmed
Sam Noakes is back!
World title contender Sam Noakes (17-1, 15 KOs) will be back in the ring on May 3 on a Top Tier/Queensberry Promotions event at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, London, broadcast live on DAZN.
The former British, Commonwealth, European lightweight champion will fight over eight-rounds against an opponent yet to be confirmed.
It’ll be Midge’s first time back at the iconic east end venue since defending his European title there against Gianluca Ceglia in September 2024, five months on from winning the blue belt at the same spot against Yvan Mendy.
The Maidstone man will be fighting for the first time this year, six months on from his WBO world lightweight title defeat to Abdullah Mason in Riyadh in November 2025. Noakes was defeated unanimously, with two cards as close as 115-113 against, in what was a back and forth, trilling battle in Saudi Arabia.
It was the 28-year-old’s first loss in his six-year professional career. Despite the defeat, Sam was praised by Turki Alalshikh for his gutsy, aggressive, relentless performance, emerging with enormous credit from every spectator.
Also appearing on the stacked 10-fight card is Yaser Al Ghana and Bradley Townsend, as the unbeaten super-lightweights put it all on the line in the main event for the English and WBO European titles.

The bloke topping the bill sounds a bit tasty
I'm guessing this will be an ease back fight but I'd love to see Sam in with Valenzuela or de Los Santos later this year, although there's plenty of decent fights out there for him.

Who's he actually fighting? Can't find anything on it 6 days out. I'd assumed this would be a Queensbury show but can't see anything on their website.

Thanks dude. Understand he's in a comeback fight, but to be down the bill in the York Hall against an opponent of that calibre seems a bit bizarre to me. Wonder why Queensbury not involved in this now as well.
Re: Sam Noakes Comeback Fight | DAZN - 3 May 2026
Henry Turner is Queensbury too, perhaps they are getting a run out as a favour

He’s 28 he’s in his prime, it’ll be almost 6 months since his last fight by the time he fights again ….. why’s he having a keep busy fight ? It’s a waste of a camp.

Is he even still in contract?CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑27 Apr 2026, 08:23 He’s 28 he’s in his prime, it’ll be almost 6 months since his last fight by the time he fights again ….. why’s he having a keep busy fight ? It’s a waste of a camp.
I know some boxers have in their contracts that a loss means they can lose their promotional deal, then it's on the promotion to renegotiate with them if they wanted..
Surely, Frank could have had him on a card, even on the YouTube portion.

How has that fight even been sanctioned? World number 16 v 1041??

Mosuro gets the win RSF. Moyo should be fighting at least a weigh class lower he’s well out of shape
