Have to be honest he seems exactly the same as he did 10 years ago, thick as pig shit.

Or, like all sensible Democrats that switched over, the Democratic Party has to close down it's insane Identity Politic and Open Border Ideology.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑15 Apr 2026, 10:06 Interesting to see the democrats offering Vance off ramp

I cannot see him going for it, at least, not yet, but Trump is likely going to decline further and fairly rapidly over the next 12 months, so perhaps they are floating the idea ahead of time.
There must be at least some part of whatever remains of Vance's internal dialogue, after totally selling out, that thinks "Hell yeah, I could get rid of this shitbag once and for all."

Everyone, including Democratic politicians, should refer to him from now on as Dementia Don. I'm 1000% positive it would piss him off to no end.

Uncultured doofus but I have no problem with him showing up the royal family. Don’t like Trump or Royals of any kind.
Re: The Turd In Chief Is At It Again!
Could not help but be amused at King Charles talking about the US War of Independence and then telling them what a great legacy the US had inherited from Britain in almost the same breath. A neat way to describe the humiliating arse-kicking of a total madman leader.
Call me cynical, but as much as one can appreciate the language and care taken with the speech it still reads to me as a call for relevance of a diminished Britain by an irrelevant figurehead in a chamber where the words will achieve precisely nothing.
I'll give the King his due, what he said mattered and was well expressed, but politically his main function there was to flatter Trump, yet any appeal to better nature or shared, moral commitment will fall on deaf ears. The US is utterly inward focussed and transactional. But they do like having Royals in town.

The King should have cancelled the trip after all the things Trump have said about Britain. Everybody should know by now that flattering Trump doesn't work, he'll just see you as weak. Punching him in the face is more effective. He's not picking on Carney, while Starmer is his whipping boy. He'll try to fuck you over whether you're nice or not. Might as well punch back.Beltane wrote: ↑29 Apr 2026, 22:48 Could not help but be amused at King Charles talking about the US War of Independence and then telling them what a great legacy the US had inherited from Britain in almost the same breath. How it sickens me to see intelligent people with degrees in law, the one thing that separates from savages, being such grovelling as$holes, so that they can grift. I hope there is some retribution for this cowardness.

U.S. democracy as we once knew it is over. It's just pretending to be the same but everyone knows it is not. It's now all about keeping the current party in power and we are seeing the different branches of government working to maintain this control. It is turning into a fascist authoritarian regime if it's not one already
I think there is a good chance that the U.S. will have another civil war in the future based on ideological differences.

Maybe it will be a good thing if he is allowed to stand again.
He will then try and win the election.
As things stand there are no consequences

If the US is under attack, that might be his justification for not having another election, he could just stay on without one

It is starting. The greatest fear is that Republicans will stop the midterms.
The Louisiana governor has just declared a state of emergency to prevent people voting in party primaries. WTF. There is no emergency. There is nothing. Except that the Republicans know they're going to get smeared.

You are supposed to be independent......
Re: The Turd In Chief Is At It Again!
This is the entire part of the 22nd amendment relating to a third term:conan_the_cribber wrote: ↑03 May 2026, 10:54 How it sickens me to see intelligent people with degrees in law, the one thing that separates from savages, being such grovelling as$holes, so that they can grift. "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once."
John Marck, nominated for the Southern District of Texas, couldn't answer whether Trump could run a third time. He had to "review the wording of it…”
How about this John, you go back to school and retake all your exams and check back in a few years?
That answer should result in an immediate removal from the bench.

Re: The Turd In Chief Is At It Again!
I heard a rumour that what Trumps minions are planning is something like a Vance/Trump ticket. With Vance stepping aside on day 1. So Trump wont be elected more than twice. Regardless of how improbable that vance will get elected, the mere fact that these cowards wont state the obvious shows how incapable they are of independent thinking.hhaehre wrote: ↑04 May 2026, 03:18This is the entire part of the 22nd amendment relating to a third term:conan_the_cribber wrote: ↑03 May 2026, 10:54 How it sickens me to see intelligent people with degrees in law, the one thing that separates from savages, being such grovelling as$holes, so that they can grift.
