I don't see a thread for young Mr Chelli so I felt we needed one because he deserves a bloody big...
WELL DONE SON
He hadn't stopped anyone before at any level above journeyman & then he kayos a bloke who had previous shown a cracking chin. And went the distance with boxings latest Superstar just last year or so.
Yes, was utterly shocked and jumping like a mad man when he got the stoppage.
I thought comms were off too and he was doing well in the 2 previous rounds.
Good luck to the lad.
I'd really like to see him rematch with Callum because I feel he could have won that, and it's good experience. Then maybe challenge Troy for the British again?

So happy for him and his Pa. A humble educated man who can fight. Hope he gets plaudits and a life changing payday. And trained by his Pa. Love it.
His dad sounds like a right character, like Calzaghe's dad.
A Tunisian boxing champion who moved to Italy, became a champion there, married a girl from Naples & moved to Fulham.

He was soooo chuffed in the interview afterwards.
Great isn’t it. It’s what I love about the sport. Raised his lad so well too, qualified teacher so he’s got a plan B. He proper adores his son doesn’t he. I speak to him occasionally he’s lovely.
I hadn't even seen this result. Was it a comeback out of nowhere or was he winning the fight already? Great result for him and will probably be one of the upsets of the year
EDIT: Just watched the highlights. Phenomenal comeback
Bivol is the King. I actually thought he won both fights against Beterbiev but I wouldn't argue too much with anyone who said Beterbiev won both. You like what you like.
Benavidez is the Star. Who knows where he fights next & who knows how much the weight jumping will take out of him. Hopefully not but we've seen it before.
If we're lucky we'll see these two fight in the Autumn.
Albert Ramirez fights Lerrone Richards next month. He's looked good so far but he's 35 soon.
Imam Khataev could be the Temu Beterbiev. Or not.
If Buatsi & Hutchinson fought again I would favour Willy.
Najee Lopez might be the next Subriel Matias. Him V Ramirez would be a fun fight. I watched Trinidad v Mayorga in Miami & I would fly over there again to watch this fight in a bar there. All Latino fights not involving Mexicans are pretty special*
So where does Chelli fit in here? He's not a star but if Frank puts his money behind him, like Eddie often does for an upset star, he could get a shot at one of the above.
* - Any fight involving Mexicans are also special but when I lived in South Florida Trinidad fights were fornicating amazing to watch in a bar. And Trinidad v Mayorga was Puerto Ricans against Everyone Else. When the fight finished they cleared all the tables out & a load of super hot girls started dancing on all the tables.
i dont think id like zak's chances against that level, this win was so amazing precisely because he was so far behind and it was so out of line with him not being able to beat several much lower level guys before. eg. losing like 10 rounds to callum simpson.
but fair play it was a dramatic win in style and coming off this win he at least earned a shot to show it wasnt just a one off. better that than he just loses again at british level

Twas a real Rocky story and a great one too watch ,, hope he secures a real good couple of paydays now , and buys himself a house or two .
He's from Fulham, he won't find it as easy to become a property developer as the northern lads.
