Nah, he's thinking, "I'm getting a load of money for a keep busy fight against a guy who's area level at best."
that's what's getting him through it for sure

I bet you after the fight either Dave himself or someone else will pipe up and say he should have come in at a ‘comfortable weight’ rather than ‘drain himself’ getting under 250.

Same bollocks as with Joyce against Zhang.

Allen's clearly above Area level. He's more than capable of challenging for the British title, he's contender level (British).

To be fair I think pre wardly Clarke and post wardly Clarke are a bit of a different beast. Also Dave did get his cock pumbled a bit vs Clarke…

Dave is probably a good English champ levle guy.

People like to say brittish title levle like it’s sub par… but honestly half the time its world levle in the heavyweights….

Fury, AJ, Whyte, Joyce, ddd, wardly, riacpoor… these are all legit world levle guys (were when they had the British anyway…)…

TKV, Adeley, hughie, sexton are the “weak” ones in that same time period… and to be fair hughie had just been competitive in a world title fight,

vs huni, clarke looked like hed still well beat allen. it was one of clarrk's best showings. i doubt it would be much different

Just relised I didn’t watch huni vs Clarke… might watch that now.

My point is less Dave would beat fraze now. It’s that I’d still back fraz against TKV… but he did lose… but I still think he is better overall.

5 bucks on the draw at 21-1…. Hrgs covered in scar tissue, Dave is that good amount shorter where if he falls over an overhand right that Hrg ducks and moves away from bam bing boom headclash. Englands first 4 round tech draw rule instead of no contest….

For me Dave Allen is a tryer, he doesn't fall or flop down easy. He tries even when he knows he's losing.
The bare facts of his record is he usually loses when moving into British or Euro level, but he tries.
Same again tonight I think, I have a feeling this might be a bit quicker though.

Hrgovic only throws arm punches but they will land a lot and I wouldn't be surprised to see a Jamie Moore towel.

Can’t wait for this. I think you may be right about Moore and the corner he’s just done an interview indicating he’d have pulled Fabio earlier

I think the point being made is that he needs to "get through it" the same way one might need to "get through" a job cleaning toilets. It's not that it's going to be difficult for him; it's just putting himself through the indignity. For which the money will help.

'Indignity'? For fighting in a small stadium with 10,000 people in it. That is as far from cleaning toilets as you can get.
