Granit Stein vs Diego Carmona

Post by handsofstone »

Card from from Germany this Saturday on DAZN, 20-1-1 Kosovan Stein takes on 14-3 Mexican Carmona who's a pretty decent puncher according to the stats, no notable names on the records, super middles btw

Shefat Isufi and Peter Milas on the undercard

Carmona wins a split, I had it 96-94 but Carmona looked got robbed of a couple of knockdowns, a right hook had Stein down in the 8th , ref ruled push, Stein was down from a 1/2 in the 10th but again ruled a push, it was pretty low level for the main but second half was more exciting, Stein was trying to assert himself early while southpaw Carmona boxed on the back foot but as it wore on Carmona grew in confidence and took the fight to Stein who looked a bit ragged as it went, I gave Carmona the rounds he should've had knockdowns, Stein was cut and I thought late on it was Carmona landing the better shots, Stein had a decent last round but should've had a KD against him, good to see Carmona not get shafted

It is refreshing to see the B-side fighter get the win he earned and deserved. That's not the case far too often.
