Deaths in amateur boxing

Was just having a conversation with a friend who knows nothing of boxing and didn't know the difference between olympic and pro boxing and that in the latter deaths (in the ring) do occur on quite regular basis. Anyhow thay asked me if it happens in the amateurs too and I couldn't think of any incident. I'm sure there's been quite a few but just couldn't and can't now wrap my head around it?

I know some girl died in an amateur bout, it's been many many years back. I don't recall the name but I remember it being mentioned on ESPN.
