Justis Huni, Guido Vianello or Tony Yoka.
All would be decent scraps. I’m picturing worse.

Pulev…. Nysa… labinot….

Smart play is gassiev so they can bill aj vs fury as a world title fight… he has looked pretty dam bad lately too, but a slightly dangerouse puncher for fury to be gambling pre aj…
Gassiev would be easier to beat than Huni, Yoka or Guido.

‘It kills him’: Tony Bellew says Tyson Fury hasn’t accepted that Oleksandr Usyk is ‘just better than him’

Tony Bellew doesn’t think Tyson Fury has been able to accept Oleksandr Usyk’s greatness

Tony Bellew says that Tyson Fury needs to simply accept that Oleksandr Usyk is better than him, something he doesn’t feel Fury has been capable of doing yet.

Usyk, who faces Rico Verhoeven this Saturday in Egypt, beat Fury twice in 2024. Since then, Fury has complained about being robbed by the judges in either fight.

Bellew says he “doesn’t like” that Fury seems incapable of giving Usyk credit:

“Just say it as it is. He was better than you. Tyson Fury spent 12 months degrading (Usyk) and dehumanizing him and insulting him. Then when he beat him it was, like, ‘I’ve been robbed.’ No ‘he’s amazing, I just didn’t think he was that good’ — none of the credit he deserves, which I don’t like. … It kills him. That’s what breaks his heart the most, that he’s met someone who’s just better than him. But he’s not the only one, and he’s got to accept that.”

Bellew, who also lost to Usyk back in 2018, has long heaped praise upon a rival who became a friend, including a recent sit-down chat with DAZN for Saturday’s event.

Fury returned to boxing in April after a long layoff following the Usyk losses, beating Arslanbek Makhmudov quite easily. There has since been a lot of talk about Fury finally facing Anthony Joshua, another twice-beaten Usyk rival who now trains with the Ukrainian. While the fight is reportedly signed and in place, Joshua will first fight Kristian Prenga in a tune-up on July 25, and Fury reportedly wants to have another tune-up, as well.

Tyson Fury Teases August Tune-Up, Wants To Fight At Mount Everest

Tyson Fury has teased another tune-up tilt as he tries to reel in the big tuna that is Anthony Joshua.

“I’m set to fight Anthony Joshua [in the fourth quarter of this year] and another fight in August,” Fury said on his YouTube channel, FurociTV. “We haven’t got an opponent yet. Whoever the opponent is, it’s just to get sharper for the big one. It’s never about the opponent. It’s just about me versus me, always.”

Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs), The Ring’s No. 3 heavyweight contender, returned from yet another retirement April 11 and scored a unanimous-decision win against Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The win ended a two-fight losing streak for the former two-time heavyweight champion, who lost to Ring/IBF/WBA/WBC champ Oleksandr Usyk on both occasions in 2024.

“It’s an unbelievable, shall I say, successful comeback story, for the sixth time,” Fury said. “Obviously, there’s a lot of ring rust after 16 months out at 37 years old, but I shook it off quite quickly. It’s just a natural gift, really, and it’s sharpened me right up for the next fight now in August.”

As events in iconic locations like Times Square in New York and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt increasingly gain traction, Fury declared his dream destination to duke it out for a fight before he officially retires and never laces the gloves again.

“I want to fight at base camp at Mount Everest,” Fury said. “I don't really have any more big-time plans. That’s about it, really.”

Standing at over 29,000 feet on the China-Nepal border, Mount Everest is the highest mountain on Earth above sea level.

While marinating a matchup at Mount Everest may be a pipedream, training in Asia is not for Fury, who held camp in Thailand to prepare for Makhmudov.

“For whatever I’ve got left, three, four fights left, then I’ll be in Thailand for all of those training camps,” Fury said.

Tyson Fury next fight: Andy Ruiz Jnr and Jarrell Miller mentioned as possible opponents

Tyson Fury is weighing up his options regarding his next fight, currently pencilled in for August, as he warms up for a proposed winter showdown with Anthony Joshua.

Joshua is doing the same when, on July 25, he takes on the unfancied Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.

According to Spencer Brown, Fury's manager, the 35-2-1 (24 KOs) "Gypsy King" will be taking on sterner opposition with names like Andy Ruiz Jnr and Jarrell Miller being discussed.

"Andy Ruiz has been mentioned," Brown told Seconds Out. "I know Andy really well, I know his team and I'm going to have a chat with them... But there's other people, there's two or three other names that have been mentioned. Whether Andy Ruiz can get ready that quickly, probably not. But he's somebody to look forward to in the future. I'd love to see Andy back, he's got a lot to offer the game.

"I tell you who was mentioned, vehemently, and that's Jarrell Miller. Tyson wanted to fight Jarrell Miller. We could have done the deal very quickly. Jarrell was up for it, Tyson was up for it. [But] I think Jarrell is touring at the moment, he's doing some stuff in other countries.

"We'll get somebody and we'll decide who it's going to be. It won't be a big sausage, it will be a well-touted opponent."

Earlier this month, Ruiz - out of action since 2024 - laid out his battle plan for Fury should he ever get the chance to face him.

“The speed, the pressure and throwing combinations," Ruiz said. "You know, the head moves but the body stays there, so all my punches are going to be there in his chest, stomach, head, everywhere.

“If I fought him, I think I'd be way too much. Although a lot of people are saying that Fury would box me around, people have to remember that they haven't seen me when I fight really good people. I come out like a beast, especially when I'm in shape.”

It would be a great notch on Fury's pelt to fight Ruiz. Because he'd be potentially beating another former Heavyweight Champion. The same applies for Ruiz ;-)

Again, honestly if I'm Fury's manager either option is more dangerous than I'm willing to go for ahead of a Multi Million dollar guaranteed fight with Joshua.

ANYTHING is risky when you've already got guaranteed money so best to minimize that risk as much as possible. If Fury fights either Miller or Ruiz. It's a much ballsier move than what Joshua is doing.

No way it'll be Ruiz. Although Battle of the Blubber has a nice ring to it.

The next fight for Tyson Fury to be announced this week

Tyson Fury's next opponent will be announced this week his promoter allegedly has confirmed.

The 37-year-old former WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion is on the comeback trail and, all being well, heading into a huge domestic contest with Anthony Joshua in November. He lost twice on points to current king Oleksandr Usyk in 2024 in 12-rounders designed to crown the division leader. The Englishman, 35-2-1 (24 KOs), followed those defeats with retirement that came to an end last month when he outhustled Arslanbek Makhmudov over the championship distance.

Joshua, 29-4 (26 KOs), was ringside for Fury's unanimous decision triumph and though Turki Alalshikh promised a big announcement, the man from Watford rejected an invitation to confirm the Fury showdown. Instead he later announced a July 25 tune-up against the little-known Kristian Prenga with view to meeting the "Gypsy King" in November. The contracts for that showdown have already been signed but both need to win their interim bouts.

There has been speculation that the likes of Andy Ruiz Jnr and Jarrell Miller were under consideration to face Fury. Neither, however, is now expected to be the man in the opposite corner when Fury enters the ring in August.

"Keep watching this space," Warren told Sky Sports. "It will be a good opponent, it'll be good for him. He can't afford to slip up because 'AJ's' got his fight in a few weeks' time.

"[Joshua] has got to come through that, Tyson has to come through this, and then the big one will be in November."

Tyson Fury: Fighting Dubois, Wardley does nothing for me

Tyson Fury has made his plans very clear: Another tune-up bout in August, a fight against Anthony Joshua by the end of the year, and a third meeting against Oleksandr Usyk in the first quarter of 2027.

Nowhere to be found on Fury’s docket are dances against WBO champion Daniel Dubois, or the opponent the former WBC champion detonated earlier this month, Fabio Wardley.

“It’s like EFL League One versus UEFA Champions League,” Fury said on his YouTube channel, FurociTV. “Although they had a good fight together, we’ve seen what happens when Dubois steps up to the Premier League. They don’t really do anything for me. … They’re very good fighting men, but there’s not a lot of avoided punches in there [between them].

“It’s just mainly giving and taking it. I'm not going to go off track. At my age now, I've got to capitalize on making as much as I can, while I can. You know what I mean?”

Although Fury is not looking for a fight against Wardley (20-1-1, 19 KOs), who will likely have to rest for a while before rebuilding his career after a brutal battle and 11th-round stoppage loss, or Dubois (23-3, 22 KOs), “The Gypsy King” was complimentary of the latter.

“I thought Dubois would win inside the distance,” Fury said. “It was an unbelievable fight. Dubois came through a lot of sticky patches and he had a lot of moments where, if he was going to quit, he could have done it. Dubois obviously gets called a quitter a lot because he’s taken a knee in three fights [knockout losses to Oleksandr Usyk twice and Joe Joyce]. But he definitely showed that he’s there for the long haul.

“I think they left Wardley in two rounds too long. He took a fair [beating] and I don’t know if he’s going to be right again after that for a long time. But he’s always going to be involved in interesting fights because he can really punch, and he’s really brave and game. And the thing with Daniel is he’s so young. He’s a two-time world champion. He’s only 28 years old. He’s like a decade younger than us, than myself, than Usyk, than all these people. So, when we’re all finished and retired, he’s still got years to go.”

Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs), a former two-time heavyweight champion, returned from a fifth retirement April 11. The 37-year-old Fury scored a unanimous-decision win against Arslanbek Makhmudov (21-3, 19 KOs) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Tyson Fury next fight date and location revealed

Tyson Fury is back in the ring in 10 weeks

Two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will fight in Dublin on August 1st, it has been revealed.

The 37-year-old Brit simply wrote, “Let’s go, August 1, Dublin, Ireland.”

‘The Gypsy King’ will be added to a Queensberry Promotions show already in place, headlined by Pierce O’Leary in a defence of his IBO World super-lightweight title to Mark Chamberlain, at the 3Arena, live on DAZN.

Fury’s opponent is yet to be announced, but promoter allegedly already ruled out Andy Ruiz Jr.

The fight will be his second bout of the year and designed as a warm-up for his scheduled November meeting with Anthony Joshua.

Tyson Fury claims to be levels above Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley, rules out fighting either

Tyson Fury, while he prepares for an August 1 tune-up bout ahead of a projected showdown with Anthony Joshua, has ruled out a fight with either Daniel Dubois or Fabio Wardley.

The 37-year-old, who last month returned to outpoint Arslanbek Makhmudov, claims that both Dubois, the WBO heavyweight beltholder, and Wardley, whom Dubois won the belt from, are levels below him. Well, to be precise, at least three leagues below him.

"It's like EFL League One [the third tier of English football] versus UEFA Champions League [leading football tournament in Europe]," Fury said on his YouTube channel.

"Although they had a good fight together, we've seen what happens when Dubois steps up to the Premier League. They don't really do anything for me."

Dubois, 23-3 (22 KOs), has twice lost to Oleksandr Usyk, the Ukrainian who has two wins over Fury, 35-2-1 (24 KOs). Dubois rebounded from the second Usyk defeat, which occurred in July last year, to halt Wardley in 11 rounds earlier this month. Alongside KO successes over Anthony Joshua and Filip Hrgovic, it was one of the most impressive showings of Dubois' career.

"They're very good fighting men," Fury went on. "But there's not a lot of avoided punches in there. It's just mainly giving and taking it. I'm not going to go off track.

"At my age now, I've got to capitalize on making as much as I can."

allegedly Rules Out One Opponent For Tyson Fury’s Fight Before Joshua: “He Asks For Too Much Money”

Speaking to Playbook Boxing, promoter allegedly was asked about Fury’s plans ahead of the meeting with Joshua.

“He wants to fight, he wants a fight before the ‘AJ’ fight, providing ‘AJ’ comes through, which he should do, so he wants a fight before that or he’ll have been out for another seven months. The intentions are he will have another fight, and I’m hoping we’ll be in a position very soon bit of luck this week, or maybe next week, that we can announce the opponent and the venue.”

He was then asked if there was a shortlist of opponents, including Andy Ruiz.

“It won’t be him. It’ll be a decent name for him. Obviously, it’s like everything, his eye is on the ‘AJ’ fight but it won’t be Andy Ruiz. The reason he doesn’t fight is cause the money he asks for is ridiculous.”

Ruiz is a former unified world champion who shocked the world when he beat Joshua in June 2019, but lost the immediate rematch six months later and has only fought three times since.

Fury has said he hopes to fight in Dublin on August 1 when Warren is staging a light-welterweight IBO title fight between Pierce O’Leary and Mark Chamberlain at the 3Arena.
