Paid for it. Didn’t want to feel left out.

Feeling optimistic. Maybe this rubbish looking card will actually turn out to be something special somehow (and I haven’t even had a beer yet).

Having actually been at the pyramids myself, I genuinely wonder how fighting there is supposed to work with all the fine sand constantly moving through the air. I know they set up this makeshift arena but the wind there is no joke. Even as a tourist just walking around, I had sand and dust blowing into my eyes the whole time.

So that’s 5 stoppage losses on the bounce for Imprax. I don’t think boxing is the right sport for this poor fella.

Overeem looks very well. Glad to see he’s retired from combat sports.

The part on his Wikipedia page is a tad comical, re the nightclub incident with 5 bouncers -

The incident ended with five bouncers having to go urgently to the hospital and Alistair being forced to turn down a title fight due to a hand injury gained in the brawl.

Having the misfortune of working security at a club when Alistair and his brother turn up isn’t great 🤣🤣 being stupid enough to upset one of them is borderline suicidal

Lapin’s plentiful barnet is definitely letting the tv audience know exactly what’s going on with the windy Giza conditions. Don’t often see that.

Constantino Nanga called out Lapin after his win in Denmark recently. I can see why he’d fancy himself in that one.

All well thanks , and yourself ?

I remember meeting Alistair back in 2003 or so, at the first big MMA event the UK had, Extreme Force at Wembley Exhibition centre. ( promoted by the London shootfighter boys )

He was still light heavy MMA fighter then so wasn’t the beast he later became when he put on 50lbs.

Was a nice chilled guy & mingled with the spectators and spoke to fans.

Lee Murray headlined that show with the whole Woolwich massive in attendance so it was total sellout.

Shame they never did another promotion as it moved UK MMA out of shitty leisure centres into larger venues with bigger international names.

Good, Daniel is only on these shows because his brother trains Usyk. Very boring to watch and nothing special.
