Tbh..
Rico looked a little in trouble.
Then spits his gumshield out.
He looks tired.
Usyk probably would have stopped him.
Or the KD would have secured a decision win in the end.

Seemed like the ref couldn't wait to jump in

I hate this crossover crap.
Fair play to this kickboxer fella, he put in a valiant effort with a pretty bizarre style.
Usyk looked like he never trained a day.

How can you get stopped with zero seconds left in a round. Rico is known for getting dropped and coming back.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 19:10 Tbh..

Good stoppage, gobbed the gumshield and Fury pretending to accidentally drop it, good effort from kick-boxer Ken but a win for Usyk

I mean. Usyk landed just as much.
Rico just looked better landing his shots.
That was mostly the difference.
I would like to see Rico fight on.

Doesn't matter what he's known for. Should've been defending himself. Does he spit his mouthpiece out for extra time in kickboxing too?Heldenjaeger wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 19:11How can you get stopped with zero seconds left in a round. yep, let's not get carried away. Rico was about to be properly KO'd while utterly exhaustedRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 19:10 Tbh..

Good stoppage
Usyk was below par but not as below par as the comms
Wouldn't fancy him strongly if the rumoured Kabayel fight is made
Great effort from Rico albeit with the proviso that he showed, questionable stamina as a behemoth of a man boxing a herky jerky style for 11 rounds

Let’s be honest. Rico was in a bit of bother there.

Terrible stoppage? Usyk couldn't figure the Dutch guy out. He was getting outboxed by a mover. He gassed out which isn't a surprise only fighting 5 rounders.
Touch and go though for Usyk.
Usyk would have got him in the 12th it it went on.

I think so, yeah. He's a spitter. But that's no reason to stop a fight. Ref can take a point if he doesn't like it, not wave it off because he's corrupt. That's what really happened here.joshj909 wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 19:12Doesn't matter what he's known for. Should've been defending himself. Okay. I don’t say it often but that looked weird.
Re: Round-by-Round: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Rico Verhoeven - 23 May 2026
Also an arguement that the ref could've let it go without his gum shield.golden_labrador wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 19:12yep, let's not get carried away. Rico was about to be properly KO'd while utterly exhaustedRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 19:10 Tbh..

I don't know why guys deserve to have valuable recovery time every time they spit it out, it's BS.

1 second left in the round. Would really have liked him given the chance to come out for the 12th.

I think we’re getting this reaction mostly because NO ONE saw this coming.
Great effort from Rico.

Wasn't that a convinient stoppage, it's really no different than wrestling let's be honest about it.
They don't even hide the corruption any more, what a joke
